Ok but like what is the cheat exactly because what #10 describes doesn't sound far off from just playing against a high ping hitscan. The ashville demo he uploaded to the match page didn't look remarkable either so is this just the admins throwing you guys a bone or what. If you got clips or something post them

Right, so a couple of people messaged me asking to post the evidence that myself and other prem players have been collecting, because apparently a lot of people in this community are still either blissfully unaware about the fact that Odin has been hacking for years or they are so far down the pit of "he's just an extremely talented gamer with 100ms reaction time who lives on red bull and coffee every day" (actual quote from his 4house teammate btw, what's up buko) that they simply can't see clearly past the glaze.
I won't be posting everything, I'll just give a couple of my personal favorites:
1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dq1BDE9c2Mw
According to Icewind who owns demos.tf and works a lot with different scripts (both legal and banned), he has never seen anything like this, ever. So whatever Odin is using here to be able to eat two chocolate bars in a row may be a homegrown script that he cooked up himself.
2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Scv60GtGW7M
This is just one example out of hundreds, possibly thousands, exactly like this, where he straight up just kills people who are already behind the wall. Every single player who's ever played against Odin has experienced this regularly, so the argument that this is some lag compensation scenario is moot, because not a single prem or invite heavy has been able to replicate this even once, let alone on a consistent basis. I guess Odin is just the best heavy in existence in addition to being a Demoknight god, right?
This may very well be the kind of interp manipulation that got him his current one-month ban.
Which, by the way, is an ironically short ban period, considering that the last time someone got banned for interp exploiting was Jas_H, and the length of his ban was one year. Go figure.

This is a mirror of his pov demo from highlander season 19 pre-season cup match that he uploaded himself to ETF2L upon request back in 2019. This is a straight up Aimbot, and according to an AC admin, who worked this case back then and shall remain nameless, every AC admin voted in favor of banning Odin except one, and they need a unanimous decision to ban someone. I don't feel like spreading conspiracy theories, because I do believe in the integrity of the Anti-Cheat team, but this particular decision is just baffling.
The worst part is that because of ETF2L data wipeout this demo file has been lost. We tried several ways to find it, but to no avail. At least this youtube mirror still exists.

Eating double Dalokohs Bar/Fishcake is an exploit that was posted about on Valve's GitHub years ago and has not been fixed yet, assuming it's just that. Honestly it is probably one of the tamer exploits reported on their issue tracker.
https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Source-1-Games/issues/4451
The "interp exploit" is probably a case of using higher than 100ms lerp. Just basing that off what I can see from uploading the demo of his latest offi to inspect.demos.tf (shoutout Icewind), filtering by "Interp" and clicking on a few of the "ConsoleCmd" lines until it pops up. Stuff like this can also be checked with some console commands (see this thread).

Interesting, this clip has been circulating for a couple of weeks now, nobody seems to have mentioned this, not even Icewind knew about this.
Are there any other exploits that could be used in comp that still haven't been fixed?

cancelselect will show on pov demos when you either switch weapons or close the weapon switch menu if you do not have fast weapon switch enabled - the menu itself isn't recorded by pov demos but if you look at the weapon switch and attack inputs, it makes sense that they're there/you can recreate these inputs
Clarkhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEpEWvTbtnQ
I can't verify because of the etf2l dataloss meaning that this pov no longer being available, but this looks like what happens when you watch a demo with demo_interpolate 1 and a lower interp than what the player was using (which would make sense in the context of him using higher interp at times)
The player's first person perspective will interpolate while the other players won't, which is what can cause/exacerbate the look of very fast reaction times + aiming ahead of players (and also explains the mismatch between killsound and killfeed message I think but can't verify right now)
it's hard to actually say anything about what's happening without first accounting for that and watching it with cl_interp 0.2
ClarkWhich still falls firmly under the interp manipulation category, and if I understand the rules correctly is prohibited on ETF2L.
as far as I can tell there isn't a rule on interp on ETF2L's website, and serveme's interp limit is 0.2 - he used an interp of 0.1884 in one game and a 'normal' (0.015 or 0.03 or whatever) interp in another from the 2 povs he's uploaded this season - you could argue it's a scummy thing to do but unless I'm missing information, etf2l doesn't have a rule against it and it was within the confines of serveme (ie: nothing was done to bypass limits)
if it is a rule it should probably be listed within the rules - I understand explicit details on some rules not being on the website because having them written there will cause more people to 'consider' breaking it by knowing it exists, but in this case it's a client command that everybody already knows exists/interacts with within configs and is very easy to spot - removing the confusion of thinking something is allowed is worth it

Interp limits are set by the league configs.
Additionally, StAC enforces stricter interp limits and prevents backtracking. However, the match that got Odin banned was played on May 1st, when a TF2 update broke plugins and StAC was not running.

[DEBUNKED by Brian] ]Rumor says he himself self-reported the interp abuse to the Admins, suggesting he didn't know it's against the rules.
The circumstances are extremely important: investigation has been opened on Him many times, but this time it was more pressured and more eye opening. He himself knew that, because people can't shut their mouths up leading the investigation exposed.
This self-report could very much be a strategy to mislead objective and subjective propositions regarding His stance.
By self-report, you control the narrative while building trust by coming forward in honesty.
Authorities might give you a lighter punishment for coming forward, not to mention ease up the community by already getting said punishment. The suspicion will be permanent, but the tension eases up, therefore he can continue playing the game with minor changes that won't make it obvious what he has already been doing.
This might seem psychological, but since we're all human - this factor must be counted in.
If he's smart about this while cheating - this is a strategy to follow and plan out.
If "he's just that good" while being an anomaly in prem - LAN is the way to prove himself with every change/config he makes to the game being directly inspected.

The idea of reacting in time to a soldier flying so fast so far from Odin's position is already nuts, but if you pause the video in the right time, you can see him perfectly putting his crosshair on soldier's model after that super hard flick which makes it so much more obvious. And the clips after that one are just straight ragebot material. How that one admin voted against his ban is beyond insane

Would be nice if admins were able to detect exploits/cheats and provide evidence just as competently as the players do. I get the "releasing evidence now = easier to cheat later" argument, but I'd say the trust levels here are equally important and they're in dire need of some maintenance now. Having a more transparent communication (e.g., sharing a match date like Arie did) instead of posting monkey gifs on a ban post would help.
gianniprem players should collectively have enough self respect to not roster him without needing a league ban to tell them so
The fact that the "general consensus" is more trustworthy than an official ban (or lack of it) is a pretty bad symptom to have for a league and community overall, it provides ground for witch hunts. No player should be responsible for keeping up with the local gossip on whether or not their teammate is seen as some evil bug abuser. And it can happen both ways, sometimes a certain player is generally seen as legit even if someone provides evidence of "crazy suspicious plays" on them.

on topic of wierd interp things https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBXQwmazf-o this was a thing way back when you could switch up your interp while alive, no idea if a hack client can replicate nor am i implying this. But my gut says that 0.182 something interp isnt going to cause you to shoot people past cover like the clip clark posted unless you literally have like 1 gorillion ping?
Considering the speculation in this thread and the intense community interest overall, I figured I would make a comment here on behalf of the ETF2L AC team. For reference I'm the current head admin for the AC team (Brian) since late 2024 and will do my best to explain what needs explaining here. I apologise if this is a long read but I feel this is a case where we can be transparent and for years prior the AC team was not so I understand the frustration.
Odin did not self-report nor was he reported by any member of the community regarding the most recent ban. His use of a disallowed interp value was found during demo checking by our team. In this recent ETF2L official Odin used an interp value of 188ms. Now as of 09/05/25, this is currently NOT breaking any written ETF2L rules (this will be changing soon). The reason it is not a listed rule overall came down to oversight and a lack of staff/discussion prior when clips of Odin using different interps started making the rounds (overall it was discussed loosely from 22/23 onwards from what I see but AC were inactive/did not care at the time). With regards to the length of the ban we boiled it down to a few things, particularly precedent prior AC staff has used for similar incidents, Odin's own statements regarding his use of it + prior rule breaks and impact it had on the match. Ultimately we all agreed on 4 weeks being a fair punishment. Regarding the impact of this infraction on the match in question, we unanimously agreed that it did not require a change of the final result. The main crux of the "theory" behind the use of that interp was also debunked (it was loosely related to peaking the shutter but proved to not affect his peaks).
No one reached out to us from the enemy team nor other teams in the division about any wrongdoing in this official and we feel missing the rest of his Highlander season was fair enough for a very minor breaking of a rule that provided no advantage (in our opinion). If this was a more flagrant violation like anything seen in the clip below then it would most likely be harsher.
With regards to the clip Varnu linked (which is from early 2024), this was reported to LA/AC admins by a teammate who was concerned it was against the rules at the time. Odin also himself made a ticket to clarify our stance. Overall their stance was that any value over 100ms was not allowed and neither were any binds enabling him to switch between interp values. This was accepted by Odin and as far as I can tell, they did not receive any reports regarding NEW evidence of interp abusing from anyone after. In terms of Anti-Cheats opinion at the time I can only speak on what I assume (as neither me nor any current member was actively involved and the existing two members were extremely busy IRL) but I believe they just gave a verbal warning and told him not to use the value and binds again. If you would like to argue that the Anti-Cheat team at the time was too lenient feel free but having joined well after I have to accept their decisions on the matter.
Now with regards to Clark's post I will mention a few things about that also:
"So whatever Odin is using here to be able to eat two chocolate bars in a row may be a homegrown script that he cooked up himself."
This is something no one knew anything about but after getting it spam reported to us as "blatant cheating" I found an existing issue on github (see Adje’s post) for it and easily replicated it. This is simply done by eating it first then proceeding to hold +attack and taunt after. There is no secret script he created and is simply an obscure bug that we have been aware of since early March. Overall this happened once in a scrim and during the current seasons we haven't noticed him using it once. If it did/does happen then it'd obviously be punished but considering it was a scrim we decided to just sit on it for now and then implement a rule for it later. This is not allowed to be used (obviously) and like I mentioned we will make note of it in the rules going forward.
"This may very well be the kind of interp manipulation that got him his current one-month ban.
Which, by the way, is an ironically short ban period, considering that the last time someone got banned for interp exploiting was Jas_H, and the length of his ban was one year. Go figure."
- Jas_H was not banned for any sort of interp abuse and I'm not sure where you heard that. For what it's worth he was using a sound mod at the time and this was public knowledge considering I knew about it back in 2021.
- The clip (and 3 & 4) certainly could be interp abuse but with regards to the 1st clip, we never got linked relevant demos nor ticks in any tickets made (we did for the 3 & 4th ones), just 5 second youtube clips from 30 minute games. We actually had only 1 report with focused information that we could investigate made since I joined the AC team in April 2024 (which included 2 & 3).
- In terms of the badwater POV youtube video This is from 2019 and was also seemingly not properly reported at the time. There absolutely were reports from that time period but none contain this demo and the match page is no longer present + I have gone to great lengths to contact anyone who may still have the demo to no avail. I cant comment on how in-depth the AC teams investigations were back in 2019-2021 and I'm not one to re-open a 6 year old Anti-Cheat case that was concluded for a players current performance. I would also like to add that evidence from this timeframe is near impossible to view anymore due to the multitude of TF2 updates that have plagued older demos and their ability to function which makes any investigations especially hard given how busy we already are with other cases/life outside of TF2.
"This is a straight up Aimbot, and according to an AC admin, who worked this case back then and shall remain nameless, every AC admin voted in favor of banning Odin except one, and they need a unanimous decision to ban someone. I don't feel like spreading conspiracy theories, because I do believe in the integrity of the Anti-Cheat team, but this particular decision is just baffling."
Similar to the comments about Jas_H, I can also state that this 2nd hand info you have been given is also false and as far as I can tell no such incident took place. Overall, there is nothing in 2025 that I can state about this investigation or any they did back then due to the people involved no longer being staff members + a data wipe that potentially removed key exchanges about the investigation. I have to back that they were impartial and honest on his demos (if they were submitted in a ticket like with the badwater game) and I sadly do not have infinite amounts of time to watch constantly crashing and laggy 6 year old demos when we get as many reports as we do.
Finally, I'd like to state that as I've alluded to a few times I'm working on implementing new rules (hopefully before this upcoming 6v6 season) that will help eliminate these grey areas that multiple members of the community have exploited for years now (from chocolate to demoknighting and everything inbetween). From 2022-Early 2024 there was little to no Anti-Cheat work being done and the team was in an extremely tough spot. Unfortunately I can not go back and change that nor any investigations that occured back then. I can only hear your feedback now and actively get rules more up to date and to a place that they absolutely should already be in. We are a very small team in a constantly shrinking community where active and impartial volunteers to watch 10+ demos of any given player is few and far between and any help to speed things up from the community is welcome.
"Are there any other exploits that could be used in comp that still haven't been fixed?"
The switch speed exploit has only recently popped up (on Delfy's Channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b03UXBTcQaQ), before the videos release it was known by only a small community (who didnt use it maliciously) and from what I'm aware it's not patched or blocked by any serveme plugin. I don't think many competitive players know about this, I think I've seen it used in other leagues, this is not relevant to Odin, just thought people who don't already know, should know about the existance of this.
for those who also dont know, this is an example of max lerp (sent to me by a friend who does not play competitive)

Jas_h got banned for using metal footsteps sounds. He told admins that he uses it because he didn't knew it was banned in etf2l (you could use metal footsteps in NA atleast when the ban happend).

I think you're missing the point here. The fact that he even went as far as to try out this exploit goes to show he's willing to break rules to gain an unfair advantage. It may not be a bannable offense in the eyes of admins because it happened in a scrim but that action speaks volumes in the court of public opinion.

It was also public knowledge that he was manipulating interp settings the way Odin does, and considering the fact his ban is still listed as "Using banned game modifications" you can understand why a lot of people including myself might come to the wrong conclusion what exactly he was banned for considering how vague that description is.

It's not second hand info, it comes straight from the mouth of the person leading Odin's investigation back then, and I'm not sure why you would even deny that. I can respect you trying to protect your fellow AC admins, but you don't have to - noone is attacking you here, and it seems like a wrong hill to die on. I appreciate the effort you're putting into trying to catch cheaters, and I'm sure the rest of the community does as well, but there's no need to lie here.

ClarkAre there any other exploits that could be used in comp that still haven't been fixed?
There definitely are but on what scale, I could not tell you. I don't think it would be a good idea to list really bad ones I do know about on a public forum as it would just make bad actors aware of their existence (most are to troll spies or bypass sv_pure restrictions which is not stuff I want to spell out to everyone how to do). It's a good practice to just check that issue tracker sometimes if you think there is something that you cannot explain, I merely typed "dalokohs" on the issues and it was one of the first things to pop up. A lot of the weird demoknight exploits/quirks are also mentioned there, to list a few:
https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Source-1-Games/issues/3254
https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Source-1-Games/issues/4922
I am sure you could find more if you just type "demoknight" and start reading.
The issue with a lot of these YouTube clips is that they would hold far more weight as evidence if people still had the demos (first person or STV) for them as the demos show recorded console commands & inputs, can be slowed/sped up if needed and you can enable outlines to see what other players were doing/if he is locking on to stuff through walls etc. This is definitely more on ETF2L than the players due to the data loss, but it's not like many of the current AC admins can really do much about that either to re-evaluate any of these in a proper fashion. As far as I can tell some of the clips you posted are not from officials either but from scrims and maybe even the occasional pug, so they never would have been uploaded to ETF2L in the first place. The game having changed several times over the years and breaking old demos on the modern 64-bit build does not help with investigating, but it should still be possible even if it means downloading some shady back-up of TF2 from someone who did not auto-update his game since 2020-ish.
I don't think this one was posted before (sorry if so) but might as well add to the pile of ancient clips:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6aejYlUsIU
This was from HLPugs.tf era and while the clip itself is definitely out there, the demo itself is from 2019 and when I asked one of the admins from the pug site back then about it, it was (unsurprisingly) lost to time.
He has uploaded somewhere in the ballpark of 40-50 demos to ETF2L now that are still up across both 6s and HL; if all that was found in the uploaded demos from his officials after years of requesting his demos on both Heavy and Demoknight is an interp exploit discovered during a routine check (not even a report) and a ban for a demoknight related script which was overturned within the day, I fear a lot of these 10-30 second clips won't be considered evidence by ETF2L no matter how sketchy they look unless the demos themselves can somehow be found, played back after all these years and they are included in a report.

Big that the AC team is actually being transparent, I never thought I would see the day but this is really worrying to me. A lot of big names were banned during this time period (azn, jeven, torrit, buff3d, offside among others) who else slipped under the radar?
Clark It's not second hand info, it comes straight from the mouth of the person leading Odin's investigation back then, and I'm not sure why you would even deny that.
As a head admin back when this case occurred I can say that Brian's retelling of the scenario is 80% accurate even though he wasn't part of it himself.
However the information that you have given is pretty wrong in both how the AC team internally works, how verdicts work and how Odin's original investigation was handled.
Just to point out how this is a miss, there is no such thing as somebody "leading" an AC investigation. There is 1 person gathering the reported information (handling the AC ticket). Afterwards the investigation is always a group effort, there is never a leader.
Your info sounds like it might come from a disgruntled AC member maybe? If it was maybe a trial admin, they do not get full information about certain high level/complex cases which might explain it.
It has been 6 years since the referenced original investigation so it wouldn't surprise me if info has been lost, exaggerated or watered down since then.
