Finally, I'd like to state that as I've alluded to a few times I'm working on implementing new rules (hopefully before this upcoming 6v6 season) that will help eliminate these grey areas that multiple members of the community have exploited for years now (from chocolate to demoknighting and everything inbetween). From 2022-Early 2024 there was little to no Anti-Cheat work being done and the team was in an extremely tough spot. Unfortunately I can not go back and change that nor any investigations that occured back then. I can only hear your feedback now and actively get rules more up to date and to a place that they absolutely should already be in. We are a very small team in a constantly shrinking community where active and impartial volunteers to watch 10+ demos of any given player is few and far between and any help to speed things up from the community is welcome.

Considering the speculation in this thread and the intense community interest overall, I figured I would make a comment here on behalf of the ETF2L AC team. For reference I'm the current head admin for the AC team (Brian) since late 2024 and will do my best to explain what needs explaining here. I apologise if this is a long read but I feel this is a case where we can be transparent and for years prior the AC team was not so I understand the frustration.
Odin did not self-report nor was he reported by any member of the community regarding the most recent ban. His use of a disallowed interp value was found during demo checking by our team. In this recent ETF2L official Odin used an interp value of 188ms. Now as of 09/05/25, this is currently NOT breaking any written ETF2L rules (this will be changing soon). The reason it is not a listed rule overall came down to oversight and a lack of staff/discussion prior when clips of Odin using different interps started making the rounds (overall it was discussed loosely from 22/23 onwards from what I see but AC were inactive/did not care at the time). With regards to the length of the ban we boiled it down to a few things, particularly precedent prior AC staff has used for similar incidents, Odin's own statements regarding his use of it + prior rule breaks and impact it had on the match. Ultimately we all agreed on 4 weeks being a fair punishment. Regarding the impact of this infraction on the match in question, we unanimously agreed that it did not require a change of the final result. The main crux of the "theory" behind the use of that interp was also debunked (it was loosely related to peaking the shutter but proved to not affect his peaks).
No one reached out to us from the enemy team nor other teams in the division about any wrongdoing in this official and we feel missing the rest of his Highlander season was fair enough for a very minor breaking of a rule that provided no advantage (in our opinion). If this was a more flagrant violation like anything seen in the clip below then it would most likely be harsher.
With regards to the clip Varnu linked (which is from early 2024), this was reported to LA/AC admins by a teammate who was concerned it was against the rules at the time. Odin also himself made a ticket to clarify our stance. Overall their stance was that any value over 100ms was not allowed and neither were any binds enabling him to switch between interp values. This was accepted by Odin and as far as I can tell, they did not receive any reports regarding NEW evidence of interp abusing from anyone after. In terms of Anti-Cheats opinion at the time I can only speak on what I assume (as neither me nor any current member was actively involved and the existing two members were extremely busy IRL) but I believe they just gave a verbal warning and told him not to use the value and binds again. If you would like to argue that the Anti-Cheat team at the time was too lenient feel free but having joined well after I have to accept their decisions on the matter.
Now with regards to Clark's post I will mention a few things about that also:
"So whatever Odin is using here to be able to eat two chocolate bars in a row may be a homegrown script that he cooked up himself."
This is something no one knew anything about but after getting it spam reported to us as "blatant cheating" I found an existing issue on github (see Adje’s post) for it and easily replicated it. This is simply done by eating it first then proceeding to hold +attack and taunt after. There is no secret script he created and is simply an obscure bug that we have been aware of since early March. Overall this happened once in a scrim and during the current seasons we haven't noticed him using it once. If it did/does happen then it'd obviously be punished but considering it was a scrim we decided to just sit on it for now and then implement a rule for it later. This is not allowed to be used (obviously) and like I mentioned we will make note of it in the rules going forward.
"This may very well be the kind of interp manipulation that got him his current one-month ban.
Which, by the way, is an ironically short ban period, considering that the last time someone got banned for interp exploiting was Jas_H, and the length of his ban was one year. Go figure."
- Jas_H was not banned for any sort of interp abuse and I'm not sure where you heard that. For what it's worth he was using a sound mod at the time and this was public knowledge considering I knew about it back in 2021.
- The clip (and 3 & 4) certainly could be interp abuse but with regards to the 1st clip, we never got linked relevant demos nor ticks in any tickets made (we did for the 3 & 4th ones), just 5 second youtube clips from 30 minute games. We actually had only 1 report with focused information that we could investigate made since I joined the AC team in April 2024 (which included 2 & 3).
- In terms of the badwater POV youtube video This is from 2019 and was also seemingly not properly reported at the time. There absolutely were reports from that time period but none contain this demo and the match page is no longer present + I have gone to great lengths to contact anyone who may still have the demo to no avail. I cant comment on how in-depth the AC teams investigations were back in 2019-2021 and I'm not one to re-open a 6 year old Anti-Cheat case that was concluded for a players current performance. I would also like to add that evidence from this timeframe is near impossible to view anymore due to the multitude of TF2 updates that have plagued older demos and their ability to function which makes any investigations especially hard given how busy we already are with other cases/life outside of TF2.
"This is a straight up Aimbot, and according to an AC admin, who worked this case back then and shall remain nameless, every AC admin voted in favor of banning Odin except one, and they need a unanimous decision to ban someone. I don't feel like spreading conspiracy theories, because I do believe in the integrity of the Anti-Cheat team, but this particular decision is just baffling."
Similar to the comments about Jas_H, I can also state that this 2nd hand info you have been given is also false and as far as I can tell no such incident took place. Overall, there is nothing in 2025 that I can state about this investigation or any they did back then due to the people involved no longer being staff members + a data wipe that potentially removed key exchanges about the investigation. I have to back that they were impartial and honest on his demos (if they were submitted in a ticket like with the badwater game) and I sadly do not have infinite amounts of time to watch constantly crashing and laggy 6 year old demos when we get as many reports as we do.
Marketplace is very good for selling stuff. I've sold a lot of ingame items there and it's always been safe and fast.
Good luck with your wedding bro!
If you go into your hud folder and go to your info.vdf file (in notepad) and change the 'ui_version' from a value of '1' to '2' it kinda makes custom huds worked
Only tested on m0rehud and rays so forgive me if it doesn't help all
