you should be allowed to cheat on heavy

For those who have the pleasure of not playing Highlander: you couldn't disengage against Odin heavy cause he is just shooting the ghost of you whenever try to get behind cover. Every fight you took where you didn't hard commit to killing the heavy you are taking an extra 20% damage compared to any other heavies. (Not on AC team just my thoughts from playing against it)
Odin has been shooting around walls for years. ONE month ban for cheating in the highest division for multiple seasons is awesome.

i don't know odin nor have i seen the demos, but is everyone sure that it's "interp abuse" and not something more insidious like backtracking? typically having high interp is a double-edged sword that makes it hard to react to new information, especially projectiles, and high interp really doesn't make you hit harder/more consistently than playing with low interp on a stable & especially low latency connection. if someone is hitting that outrageously such that AC is forced to make a decision, i would absolutely not assume the best from someone.

it's really questionable atp if the admins actually take into consideration what the community ever says or reports. players like azn, wizat, and night terror (who mind you got banned for the 2nd time recently due to him abusing demoknight scripts) were outed for cheating by the very same ppl who hackusated them since day 1.
LITERALLY every time a group of experienced players at the game, for example yak and co, calls someone out - they end up being right (i.e azn). this is not a coincidence nor them having skill issue against said cheaters, it's just them being actually competent people with brain cells. the admins should really use past experiences and proofs as a base for future dilemmas because atm it feels like the league is run by inept people but who am i to judge

i don't know how much more a player has to do to get an unfair advantage over others by any means necessary outside of downloading an aimbot to get banned for longer.
this guy has had a mountain of accusations thrown at him by top players for years and there is no reason to give him the benefit of the doubt any longer

A month for cheating is extremely generous, especially for a player in prem.

So when are we also going to hold those accountable in his inner circles who have been shielding him all this time from bans? They are just as involved as him, cheaters or not imo. No one can convince me they did not know anything for so many seasons.

This guy has been using stuff giving him unfair advantages and has been in a grey zone of the rules for years and what does he get? 1 month ban, his teams keep the results and he gets his boots licked on a youtube video. He was banned before and it was overturned in the same day. There just needs to be complete transparency on how hes achieving what hes been doing becauseno one can replicate it consistently enough. Either that or ban him for good.

Is this just the 500ms interp stuff? I remember trying it out (in pubs do not execute me) for shits and giggles and like dolphin rider said it felt totally unplayable rockets just like lag everywhere and shit. I guess maybe it matters less for heavy since you don't really dodge but it genuinely felt horrible. You can try it out yourself. I remember it being pretty miserable unless there's some weird sweet spot between 100ms (default) and 500ms (max) where you get some cool cheater benefits but it's still playable.
Edit: My point is merely to echo dolphin rider's that I'm surprised if that's all it was because I personally can't imagine high interp being worth the trade-offs.

between this and what dolphinrider said, there needs to be some sort of transparency on ETF2Ls behalf regarding what exactly he was doing and why it only warranted a month ban? because editing interp does not provide benefits like that on hitscan..at least in my opinion.
If the others in this thread are correct, it's not the first and it's not the last time he's going to do it, so that begs the question...
why did his team get nothing except a slap on the wrist? I wouldn't even call it that, they got pretty much nothing at all and get to keep playing as normal, just seems really weird..

this is pretty hilarious and awkward from my perspective
if anyone has any clips or information that are worth putting in a followup "extras" video, please let me know. people are pretty curious about the ban and this is the best opportunity for me to explain all of the info available
even if it's just a clip of people discussing things. this clip without copyrighted music being blasted would be good to have (edit: I have the clip now)

right, its not something that has recently started occurring, its been going on for YEARS. for as long as i can personally remember when i started playing against him, nothing ever ever felt right, always being beamed when in 99% of other scenarios, you would be safe. it was miserable beyond belief to deal with. 1 month is laughable

i think the idea that a cheater being on a team means everyone else is in on it is a bit of a stretch. i am sure it has happened before but how would you even go about proving it?

If the general consensus is that he is a cheater who has been cheating for awhile, I feel like prem players should collectively have enough self respect to not roster him without needing a league ban to tell them so….
