I have not been keeping up on stuff here. I'm sure Fyoro or b4nny said why they are not attending this LAN. What was the reason? just bad schedules I assume?

Would be sick to see 2 NA teams again

Looking at the seat picker, I can't really tell where TF2 are sitting if we're trying to sit together, unlike i63 where we were roughly in the same area. One of the great things about cph was how the community were all in the same area. I thought way more seats would open up today than just the small block on the middle right. Maybe we could sit in the bottom right block (particularly the top half of it) if the block opens up for everyone? Just a thought.

There'll be strikes at Heathrow on the 23rd/24th august. since the monday is a bank holiday it's probably worth checking in on the disruption on sunday if you're flying out from there

Hey looks like I might have space for one or two more people for a hotel from the 20th to the 22nd (Tuesday To Thursday) because I’m getting there really early, anyone want to chill in Birmingham for a few days and help me with the bill? :)

Edit: have already found a buyer
Hello all

I am going to be purchasing a weekend ticket (READ: NOT BYOC) so I do not undergo an unfortunate circumstance in customs as happened with i58 but will have no use for it after I'm through customs since I am on the production team.

If someone is looking for a weekend spec ticket and wants to split the cost (70GBP, ~85USD) would be willing to give it to them once I get there, please DM me on TFTV, steam or discord (Console-#0420)

for people who havent been to the NEC, its in the middle of nowhere so the foods either overpriced, shit or both
if you want food and have some time to spare you can get a 10 minute return train to birmingham new street for £4 which takes you to the city centre

Hey gang, as last year, i will be flying in to London Luton and wanted to check if anyone is driving from down south that could pick me (and possibly a +1) up. Can pay with gas grass or ass

Edit: Also helpful links to train tickets from Luton to NEC are greatly appriciated :)

Train

Megabus (Luton to London) (London to Birmingham)

National express 1 2 (direct link doesnt work)

National express seems the best

If you are getting train don't book on trainline - is useful to see times nicely but when you want to book just go direct to virgin trains (or whatever company it is) to book. HUGE savings of £1.50 from the booking fee!

You can spend these untold riches on a 5th of a pint at lan you're welcome

not sure if everyone saw this, but i guess it's really important we have enough teams made to get as much funding as possible!

edit: looks like they originally advertised as 6k, then wrote subject to change and changed it.

As far as I remember it always said that the prizepool was participation dependent, as with all of their games apart from R6 Siege, it did say £6k on the tweet though. That being said this is only insomnia's contribution and isn't factoring in contributions from the fundraiser etc.

that's a very noticeable departure from previous years where they guaranteed the prizepool- i feel like if i'm obviously following this info obsessively and i didn't even notice, there are probably other people who didn't either, and it'd be great if they did so they have time to make enough teams to get us to where we need to be in order to at the very least get our 6k?

Any idea when tournament format and timings will be announced?

imo last year's setup was pretty much perfect - the 8-team invite group allows everyone to get a feel for the LAN before the big games start happening on the 2nd day. The strict timings enforced at Copenhagen this year also meant that was probably the smoothest event in terms of scheduling that I've been to, would be good to see something similar to that at i65.
