As winter settles over Australia, CappingTV is lighting up the cold with LAN Downunder 2026. On July 18th and 19th, eight teams will gather at the Fortress Arena in Melbourne to fight for the title of champion.
For the third year running, LAN Downunder returns to Fortress' flagship venue, and this year's lineup is a proper mix of experience and new blood. Familiar faces from last year's grand finalists, BLG and j*b, are back and hungry to defend what they've built. Alongside them, a new generation is stepping onto a LAN stage for the very first time. For some, it's one more chapter in a career built over years. For others, it's the moment everything has been leading up to.
This event means a little more than usual, though. As the matches play out, we'll also be taking a moment to look back on ten years of CappingTV. A decade of broadcasts, rivalries that became legend, plays nobody's forgotten, and a community that's stuck around through all of it. It's been a long road from where this started to where we are now, and it feels right to celebrate that here, together, with the people who made it possible.
So rug up, get comfortable, and settle in, whether that's from your couch or from a seat in the arena. July 18th and 19th, Melbourne. Ten years in the making, and one weekend to remember it by.

- Flank Scout: AuroraEchoes
- Roamer: Rill
- Pocket: Eat Ham
- Demoman: azzy
- Medic: whitefang2360
If there is one thing Australia loves, it’s an underdog story. 6 Reasons Not To Play TF2 have been one of the few teams in ozfortress consistently playing every season in recent years, making improvements from season to season. From last place in Open on their debut to consistent playoffs appearances, LAN can be a whole new ballgame for some teams. Will they win it all and take home the trophy? We’ll find out at the Lan Downunder 2026.
A Chuds Lament
- Pocket Scout: thethingy
- Flank Scout: time
- Roamer: norbit
- Pocket: eren
- Demoman: jane doe
- Medic: shy
The core of A Chuds Lament has played together on and off for several years, with shy, norbit, jane doe, time, and Eren all sharing multiple Premier seasons. Entering the competition as the third seed, they will be aiming to secure a playoff appearance at a minimum while positioning themselves as the biggest threat to the tournament favourites. If they can build on their long-standing chemistry, they'll have every chance of challenging the top two teams for a place in the Grand Final.
Monkey Business
- Pocket Scout: cbpop
- Flank Scout: Davé
- Roamer: schnapps
- Pocket: Frawg
- Demoman: newspice
- Medic: ANML
With none of their players having competed in an ozfortress Premier season, Monkey Business arrive at LAN Downunder 2026 as underdogs rather than title favourites. Their focus will be on picking up valuable wins and gaining experience on the LAN stage. However, the core of the roster has been playing together for the better part of a year, giving them strong team chemistry that they will look to leverage against some of the tournament’s more established lineups.
RED
- Pocket Scout: Chad
- Flank Scout: Gotaki
- Roamer: Feyn
- Pocket: Robor
- Demoman: Matt
- Medic: Wils
With a roster stacked with Premier veterans, RED enter LAN Downunder 2026 as the tournament's top seed. Featuring some of Oceania's most recognisable names; including matttt, robor, and Feyn; they are among the clear favourites to reach the Grand Final. Every member of the lineup has won either the ozfortress Premier division, a previous edition of LAN Downunder, or both. Backed by that wealth of experience and with several players looking to improve on last year's runner-up finish, RED will arrive with only one goal in mind: claiming the championship.
Salt Free Gaming.
- Pocket Scout: rach
- Flank Scout: World’s Blankiest Blank
- Roamer: Zildjian
- Pocket: catfish
- Demoman: TheWiggin
- Medic: thelampshade22
Led by the bubbly and outgoing World’s Blankiest Blank, Salt Free Gaming. feature some of the most experienced players to ever play in ozfortress competitions. With a combined 150+ seasons of 6v6 experience and as the longest-running team in ozfortress, you may think that Salt Free Gaming would be a playoffs contender, and you would be correct. Anything other than first place would be a bitter disappointment for the team of veterans, and other teams will need to look out, lest they feel wiggin’s boot on their neck.
the wolf pack
- Pocket Scout: Pipelin12
- Flank Scout: dauq
- Roamer: Raelen
- Pocket: down
- Demoman: conor
- Medic: Daz
Featuring down and conor from Witness AU’s Denver roster, the wolf pack enter LAN Downunder ready to challenge RED for the title. Every player on the roster is well acquainted with the highest level of ozfortress Premier and LAN competition. With proven talent and plenty of big-stage experience, the wolf pack have all the tools to contend for the championship. The question is whether they can turn that experience into a first-place finish. We’ll find out in the Arena.
Welcome to the Wungle
- Pocket Scout: Wungus
- Flank Scout: KING BIG NUTZ 2021
- Roamer: tetrx
- Pocket: mgm
- Demoman: Practice

Welcome to the Wungle is a team with a big mix of new and old. Wungus, Practice and mgm all have fewer than four 6v6 seasons played while tetrx, GUNWR0NG and KING BIG NUTZ 2021 have all been around the block once or twice (or for years on end). Much like yogurt effect, Welcome to the Wungle are a team of fresh faces and experienced players looking to make their mark at the Arena and put up a strong showing at LAN.
