SetsulIf you do get a Z690 mobo, make sure it's one that can have its BIOS updated without a CPU, or you're going to run into some troubles.

good shout, thanks!

#3906 PC Build Thread in Hardware

For me waiting wouldn't be an issue, my current setup is fine for now. Is overclocking still the thing to do with the new chips? Seems to be a lot of praise for undervolting right now which is what I initially planned. I think the performance of the 13700k draws me in because of games like tarkov and whatever new tripple a's that will come out in the future. But I'll defo wait for 7700X3D and 7800X3D to see the price/performance unless i7 13700k comes on a crazy sale again, a friend got it for 400euros during black friday but I missed it :( Even though I'm planning on undervolting having the option in the future to overclock would be nice so I've been looking a bit at z690 and z790 and I'm leaning towards a z790 I've generally leaned towards asus in the past but they seem to be very expensive right now compared to gigabyte and msi. thanks for thr reply once again Setsul!

#3904 PC Build Thread in Hardware

Might be potentially looking to upgrade cpu and to ddr5 over christmas. I'm thinking either 13700k or 7700x, they both seem to have their advantages while being roughly the same average over a couple of games. The 7700x seems to be very impressive in csgo which I guess translates to tf2 while being slightly cheaper and lower power consumption. However the 13700k seems to be impressively stable in games with very impressive low 1% avg fps.

I'm currently running i7-8700k. I do have a noctua nh-d15 which I suppose should be sufficient, though for 7700x ill need to grab a mounting kit. As for the 13700k it seems like you should get a contact frame? I'd also need a new mobo ofc but gotta decide on the cpu first. Thanks!

#20 RCADIA FORTRESS HAMBURG: Feedback Thread! in LAN Discussion

I kinda like the extra seconds, gives a little bit more time for discussion but also lowers the comeback potential a tiny tiny bit but it doesnt matter. I like that we had tac pauses available however we forgot to use it lol :D

iseries bust the bank completely. I think I spend 2-3 times more money going to iseries than rcadia. if we know we have copenhagen and rcadia happening every year we should focus on them. The only good thing with iseries is that there is usually alot of people attending and the stage but I think the attendence will never get back to pre covid levels especially now with the options we have and how expensive it is even as a spectator. Spec ticket is expensive, byoc ticket expensive, travel expensive, hotel expensive, bar/food expensive, rental expensive everything is just expensive and the tf2 is so spread out so it lacks that special community feeling we get at copenhagen and rcadia where we are all together

A stage for the final would have been great, other than that I have nothing but positive things to say. Huge shoutout to everyone who made this happen and production for doing your thing and working super hard!

Edit: bar closing was also pretty bad. We sorted it out in the most tf2 way possible. But I'm thinking maybe next year you could start 1 day earlier in order to have the grand finals on a saturday

#9 best wireless earbuds? in Hardware
BuildBruhLitroi have Sony WF-1000XM4 earbuds, they were $180 refurbished and they're really nice, stay in my ears and sound great, probably still the best noise cancelling. definitely recommendxm4s are topnotch at active+passive noise cancelling, and very good and extensive bass+highs. If you listen to stuff that's super bass heavy or has plenty of kicks these will shine. Midrange is nothing special so I feel the extra 30-50 over airpods isn't worth if you listen to stuff that tends to live mostly in there.

Don't buy these brand new, the refurbs from ebay are almost always like new or brand new and otherwise exchangeable (if they haven't changed in the past few months). They require a kind of bigger ear and will definitely give you pains if you're not used to wearing foam tips/wearing earbuds a shit ton. Do be kinda ugly tho ngl, I chose the gray ones as something to style with and ended up getting asked if they were hearing aids once or twice a month at work/gym.

I bought these too and I recommend them if you have the money. Great ANC and I really enjoy the audio. Since I mostly listen to 60-80 music I had to dial the bass back in the EQ but after that the sound is truly good for my liking. Also turned on LDAC in bluetooth settings which made a huge difference.
