since the script allowed you to jump/double jump while switching between scattergun and winger, the winger only being out for fractions of a second

Correct because a full season is going to provide the proper playing grounds for this. Our pre season double mixes were only a starting point but not everyone had access to it and it was too late to convince etf2l to change the rules for it. So if every tier can now use said plugins to experiment with something new, the feedback will be greater and can allow for twiku /other people who are cfg savvy to help us continue to experiment with the game.

I myself don't really care as I'm not playing anymore, but it's important to read polls properly.

Presumably, there was a reason both why ETF2L held the poll and then published the results. What's not clear from the post is by what criteria the decision to implement the plugin was made. Was the poll merely advisory? Did the vote not meet a required threshold for "No" votes to not be implemented? Did the vote matter at all? We don't know.

so, 2 months ago or whatever etf2l said they wanted to do a bunch of test cups with all of these changes. everyone (rightly) asked for a season so the plugin tests got moved into the season instead of cups. im still not convinced by some lines of reasoning theyre using for some of the changes, but if the idea is to test stuff you probably want an overwhelming majority of people saying no.

ive no doubt into the new year there will be more polls about this season that will have their results adhered to.

this is what makes sense in my head but idk anything more than anyone else

I understand why people want to add some of these, but why do people want to allow projectiles passing through players and have gunboats always apply? Haven't they both been in the game since the beginning?

Projectiles collide with teammates which can be super annoying
Gunboats don't apply damage reduction on self damage while damaging an enemy
- plugins fix both

Overall I don't mind it being a whole season, but think maybe the medic speed buff should get a weekend cup of it's own, given the mixed opinions on the idea and how much it could affect the gameplay/meta

As far as I'm aware and according to the wiki, gunboats aren't suppose to apply when you hit an enemy, why would this be changed if its a not a bug. And doesn't letting projectiles go through allies reduce part of positioning and communication.
