I guess FROYO is the kinda team to push on a man down and not let the enemy team have any chance to recover from a really shitty, game-unrelated situation. Where's sportsmanship? Fear of losing rounds?
Hope Kaptain gets well soon and comes back to dick all over them.

Just to note, b4nny also brought his phone onto the stage, which violates the guidelines in the Rewind II rulebook. (An admin eventually took up his phone before the match started)

Rewind II RulebookAll Players and Coaches will turn in their cell phones and all other electronic devices to the referees while being on stage, to be returned once they leave the stage.

I'm not saying froyotech should be penalized, but b4nny has brushed by both unsportsmanlike conduct and taking his phone onto the main stage, which are both against guidelines in the rulebook.

edit: so esports arena doesn't release any information about the open qualifier and they don't even enforce their own guidelines gg great organizer

"Where's sportsmanship?" There's no sportsmanship when you are talking about team with b4nny. He doesn't care about such things, he really wants 7 to loose more than other teams. It can be seen from his twitter(when 7 played against Ascent and SWIFT). Disgusting person. Hope Kaptain will be ok...

As much as I'd like to agree with you, Kaptain and AMS were dead when the pause came in, and Permzilla used Kaptain's account and computer to play the game, meaning there was almost no delay in terms of how Se7en were going to get set up to hold second when Perm subbed in. It's really unfortunate that Kaptain was unable to play, and I think everybody wants to see him feel better, but Froyo would have pushed there off of the localized man advantage regardless of who was in. To me, that play doesn't look like bad sportsmanship, just a classic example of Froyo's insane aggression. (https://www.twitch.tv/videos/230207027?t=00h11m51s)

Houdiniif b4nny is a fair player, he'll wait for kaptain and Thalash to get well, convince esportsarena to wait for 2-3 days, then after 2-3 days, the lower bracket final and grand finals will happen. I mean even if you despise your opponent, tilting them when they're sick doesn't seem right.

I highly doubt the tournament organizers would've been willing to wait 2~3 days for a single person to recover from food poisoning. At best it could've been delayed until tomorrow.

I'm not sure what I initially meant by "a man down" (very tired and frustrated) but what I'd like to make clear is that Se7en had been playing for 10 minutes with a crippled player, who was then traded for a (sorry perm) lesser player and a role shakeup, anyone in their right minds would have offered 5 minutes for Se7en to talk it over and a round restart, if not for a map restart. B4nny claims that he strives to bring Good TF2, but before anything else, TF2 is a competition, and good competitors follow good sportsmanship etiquette.
It has frustrated me very much to see such a hyped up match-up get wasted because all of this.

So how is it a surprise that b4nny is supportive of teams and players he interacts with on a daily basis in the same scene he plays in? I remember watching the i55 final and hearing the crowd be much more responsive to nerdRage having a cool moment compared to when FROYO did. Supporting whatever is local is natural. With many of the top NA players at Rewind, b4nny has seen the growth that occurred that made them into the players they are today. And while there has obviously been bad blood in the past between members of Se7en and b4nny, I believe that the support b4nny is giving to the NA teams is simply just due to the personal connections he has with the players. After all, as soon as the Granary match ended, Se7en members walked over and started chatting with FROYO members. I don't believe that this LAN is as dramatic as some of you are making it out to be.

This idea of "sportsmanship" you are talking about is wishful thinking propagated by A) your aforementioned frustration and B) support for Se7en. The outrage would be more understandable if FROYO denied a 5 minute break, but I don't believe that Se7en even asked for one, and instead took a break in between the 2 games, which was the more sensible thing to do. A map restart is realistically too much to ask for, since no foul play occurred that somehow nullified the current match, and I don't see why any team in FROYO's situation would be willing to discard the first 2 rounds when they were able perform well with Se7en's full roster present. I'm sure we can agree that even an ill kaptain is better than Permzilla.

This and discussing with Warhuryeah/ipz changed my opinion, if 7 needed time they would/should have asked for it, b4nny's comment might have been of poor taste but its not the end of the world, just hope these gamers manage to get better for today so we can see some epic gameplay.
Thanks for enlightening me and sorry for being a little bitch. (no sarcasm intended)

Lmao why are people trying to turn this into b4nny criticism, he hasn't done anything wrong here (outside of standard b4nny Twitter nonsense) and tftv is just looking for any reason for more drama. This is just an unfortunate set of circumstances and there's nothing reasonable that seven or froyo could've done to make this game a fair match given the situation.

Mad props to kaptain for getting on that stage in the condition he was in, the guy's commitment to his team is unreal and I hope we can see him compete in NA in future.

Hope you get better soon kaptain and good luck to all the remaining competitors

on a different note, why do we only get to hear the side signal of the music during the breaks? that's pretty retarded as there's no bass (in music that can't be enjoyed without bass)
