StylaxYou tried way too hard.

Poor effort.

Do you have any talking points or counterarguments - or was this you pouncing on an opportunity to generate upfrags by making a short, dismissive response to a post that argues against the meta? If the latter is true, then the poor effort rests on you, not me.

EnterimWhat a fucking joke of a scene if it's remotely controversial to ban people this toxic, shitty, and anti-human. Absolutely disgusting.

Ban Muuki too for being such a shitty fucking edgelord. No video game scene is worth putting up with these sociopaths.

This post is a negative contribution. If someone's personal beliefs are truly that abhorrent, then it shouldn't be a problem to explain to them why. Name-calling Muuki doesn't do anything but say "I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY DONT LIKE YOU!!!!!" - you haven't said anything meaningful. There are no arguments or points made.

Furthermore, 95% of the people in this thread have said "just be NICE to people..." - but why is that particularly favorable? Why is being "NICE" seen as an intrinsically good thing - and why should I be unconditionally nice? It's a competitive environment, and in all competitive environments, animosity should be expected.. Why does the CS:GO community embrace banter and shittalk, but we reject it? To create a dogmatic environment that is supposed to breed yesmen like what most people in this thread seem to be asking for is unachievable in all aspects; an infinite project, a dog chasing its tail. In all aspects of life, there has to be a struggle in order for you to have a will to continue your daily quests - this is why for every hero, there is a villain. Unfortunately, most of you seem to have a will to achieve comfort and pleasure, leaving no heroes. There is no productivity in comfort, War is a necessary aspect of all societies.

You're actually right. Now that I think about it, every game that's become a successful esport has 1 thing in common: a friendly, welcoming community! Just ask loltyler1, who can probably speak for hours on end about all the polite people he met in League of Legends - or play CS:GO matchmaking and tremble from excitement upon seeing all the friendly faces you encounter! Our TOXIC community is definitely the reason why (hypothetical) sponsors turn a blind eye to the community and not because we are on our way out in terms of video game pop culture, have negative developer support from a company that released updates that worked against the competitive community for years, a declining playerbase because there is no opportunity for anything at all

DoomsdayexeImagine being a sponsor and seeing that this is the state of our community. Y'all are fucking jokes if you think any of this is okay. Call it out and cut it out.

That's right guys - we'll finally get our major if we make this community a handholding hugbox! (except when we have our triennial b4nny irrational hate threads, we NEED those..)

#28 being genuine in TF2 General Discussion

Was versteht man unter Leftismus ?

"Minderwertigkeitsgefühle" (feelings of inferiority) und "Übersozialisierung" (oversozialisation).

mare you seriously posting in my general direction as either (a) an alt or (b) somebody who's never played competitive tf2?

dunno where morals are discussed in my post but im sure its underneath layers upon layers of carefully laid subterfuge

Well, it's quite easy to figure out what luddite is referring to: When you said "ironic shitposting is still shitposting", I believe you're saying that because it is a "shitpost", it is not worth appreciating in any aspect. And because you raise this point, you are taking the high ground, perhaps because you find that it violates your morals to contribute to any sort of "shitposting".

#39 Faint Gaming Return. in TF2 General Discussion

I hate to have to be the one being behind the brainpower for this community (once again), but this team would still be in IM even if they weren't sponsored due to Invite's occupancy. Why is Faint Gaming getting the blame for the heinous crime of "sandbagging"?

SlicerogueHobin I'm sorry but this is a really bad way to return and I find it hard to believe you didn't know this was a sandbag team. Faint has generally been really nice but I think I speak for allot of us when I say this makes me question if Faint is an org I should want to be associated with going into the future...

I don't mean to come off as rude by means of straightforward speech, but sponsoring a team full of skilled and proven players (save delete) that are likely to have a return for the organization is logically a better idea than, say, sponsoring a team that you are playing on.

#110 Demo LFT high open team in Recruitment (looking for team)

InternetIntellectual here. Although I am a tenured professor in the field of philosophy, I do have a few friends in the psychology department here on campus. I invited a fellow professor (who specializes in quantitative psychology) to analyze the user "JuJu", since I see he gathers much attention based off his behavior.
What he determined is that JuJu is a white male, aged 16-19. He is impulsive - having a slight interest in bettering his outward image that projects onto the community, however he places too much emotional investment into the game, leading him to bite the bullet and bad mouth others. This instance of cognitive dissonance we observed is very telling, along with the variables added that include:
- Cartoon demoman profile picture used everywhere - Take a look at anyone who has achieved anything great in Team Fortress 2: no cartoon TF2 character pictures are to be found, simply because they take themselves seriously.
- Username choice of "JuJu" - The insistence of capitalizing both 'J' characters makes the username have a very juvenile appearance.
- Being French Canadian - It is scientifically proven that being Quebecois drastically increases the likelihood of one being insufferable.

In conclusion, my professor friend estimated that "JuJu" likely has an IQ in the range of 90 - 95.

Best,

sildeezyWhich two only have one way to bomb?

https://i.imgur.com/Mr9DhbW.jpg

Both of these spawns generally result in straightforward bombs in the direction of the spire. Of course you can change the height of the trajectory, or implement some autistic endif-style strafing into the bomb, but the direction remains the same. Because these two spawns are the easiest to first spot (due to the closeness of height to spire itself), there is a very short time span to deliver the most likely successful bomb. The longer your opponent has knowledge of where you spawned increases the chances you will be airshot or countered.

#44 To all MGE lords in TF2 General Discussion

Spire is easily the deepest of all MGE arenas (speaking for Soldier gameplay). There is no arena that better rewards map knowledge and gamesense than Spire, and there is probably no better map for Soldier gameplay period. To compare it to other maps: Granary Middle can quickly become a chore in public MGE servers if one player decides to stop their aggressions, attempting to force you to be permanently offensive, giving them a health and ammo advantage. The same can be said for Badlands Middle, even though to counter this type of gameplay is slightly easier. Where I believe Badlands Middle falls flat though is the lack of extremities in aiming when compared to Spire: many exchanges with your opponent can devolve into trading splash rockets on the opposite side of a particular crate, there are very few effective ways to bomb your opponent when placed on the offensive, making it very easy to tell where you will have to aim at all times. Contrasting that to Spire, when you win a fight against your opponent, there are 7 possible areas where your opponent could respawn and there are 2 successful ways to perform a bomb for 5 of those locations. And since the map's respawn locations are in a circular formation, you will have to rely on game audio to get a sense of where your opponent is, and above all, you will need to do it quick. This effectively punishes the weaboo scout mains who like to venture out of their horrible class by adding 5 every once in a while, since they all use a ridiculous CSGO sensitivity of like 40cm/360 or something even worse. After a swift loss to a real soldier player, they return to their corner of misery on Badlands Middle.
