owlif you don't think Ted Cruz is electable by this country you haven't been following American politics very well

Electable and electable nationally are two very different things. Cruz could be elected nationally if everything goes his way but it is an uphill battle for him.

I originally had only a few issues with Sanders but holy shit, I've gotten so tired of 19 year olds fresh out of high school telling me I know nothing about the industry I've worked in for the last 5 years and how naive I am and how the entire political system is a scam etc etc etc that I maxed my donations to Rick Perry.

*disclaimer: not american, don't yell at me*

I'm just surprised how idiotic every republican candidate ever really is, they don't even pretend to be slightly reasonable... on the positive side they provide plenty of comedy gold, particularly this time with donald trump and the braindead neurosurgeon in the running

A couple aren't batshit crazy. They're all low in the polls, though, so you probably don't hear about them much.

I'm def voting for Bernie in the primaries for my state, but if he doesn't win the nomination I have no problem going with Hillary.

Reps aren't that bad (sans Trump and Carson), but Dems are just more likely to be actually pushing to solve shit like social and environmental problems from what I've seen. So if you forget about economy (which I'm not an economist so why believe either side with opposing viewpoints (leaning Dem tho)), that's pretty much all that's left. I don't feel like the government is violating muh freedoms so there goes the rest of the Rep platform for me.

Also I don't think any candidate on either side should be even slightly qualified to say "Obama is doing a bad job about ISIS and this is how I'm going to do it better" when the President has all of the best advisers to solve military problems and shit like that. Unless they're a former top-ranking military general or some shit, their opinion is basically worthless.

I'd obviously prefer Bernie at this point. I for one am *deeply* confused about what the hell they're doing over there at Hillary's campaign HQ. Why make the campaign about Hillary *the person*. Hillary the person has been subject to 15+ years of character assassination from the left and the right. They need to find her 2-3 *policies* for her to articulate so that the campaign isn't about Bernie's proposals and crazy grand-pa appeal, Vs. Hillary Clinton the person. Even in last night's debate, her primary tactic was to say Bernie was using his proposals as veiled attacks on her person - as opposed to articulating an alternative policy.

I'd still vote for Hillary over a Republican of course - but I won't be actively campaigning on behalf of either.

Most of the Europeans see this very differently as they are almost all socialists, they see Bernie Sanders the way most Americans see Joseph McCarthy.

I don't consider myself a "socialist" at all, tho i'm quite against some of the USA's ideologies such as wep permissions or that not everyone can benefit 100% from some of the basic rights (education, healthcare,..).
I can certainly see your point of view, tho. I belive that the way a country is is highly related to the way it was born, and since the american's revolution started as a no-tax insurrection i see where the belief of "everyone thinks for his own" comes from (which has -imho- some bad cosequences at least as much as the good ones).

I don't live in the US but every single debate I watched it feels like Hillary's answers are the most retarded thing I've ever heard besides the republican debate candidates.

Bernie: "I have amazing support from the youth in Iowa and I'm thankful to all the young voters."
Hillary: "I like young people too."

Also she looks really evil when she laughs

sheepy_dogs_handTrump will make anime real. Vote for him.

Isn't that a reason to not vote for him.

In all seriousness though, Hillary is basically a moderate republican, almost everything she acts the most enthusiastic about supporting is something she has voted against in the past, namely DOMA, taxes on capital gains, ending tax cuts...the list goes on and on.

h0b5t3rMost of the Europeans see this very differently as they are almost all socialists, they see Bernie Sanders the way most Americans see Joseph McCarthy.

their's alot of american's who don't realize that the Democratic party of the USA is roughly the equivalent of the Center and/or Right wing parties of basically any other developed nation.

Hillary for example would be a Conservative by Canadian/British/Australian Standards
Bernie would be more of a Labour/Labor party candidate in the UK/Australia/Canada
Most Republicans would fall within {insert nation name} independence party or far right wing outliers in a conservative party

aka anyone who says they socialist in the USA is more like center-left when it comes to Euro, Aussie, and Canadian politics

I always thought that this crazy definition of feminist was retarded, until about 2 weeks ago when my sister came home and announced that she was now a feminist and wasn't shaving her armpits. She then dumped her boyfriend for not liking her unshaven pits.

The message of feminism that she picked up (and don't get me wrong she is thick as shit) was that, rather than actual issues, and I think it's indicitive of a larger pattern and it's fair to say that there's a heavy strand of feminism that is totally mental. She's not even considered strange among her female peers either.
