hello burgerlover1995 here! first time on this website and i was wondering where i could make some new friends in this community :D i LOVE long walks and gaming haha (oh and especially burgers >:D) to the author of this thread, lets be friends! im sure you LOVE tf2 as much as i do!!

I'm not going into any deep details here (would take forever and it's not people's business) as this was already stressful enough in march as much as it is now, still, I don't want to condemn anyone for what happened and i will only reply to this regarding you and not Nicky. I don't want anyone to get attacked, I don't want anyone to be made fun of... but obviously the community is small and everyone just talks, sometimes just to give the mouth some air.

Please just stop bringing this up. All i want is that you understand you fucked up big time and you were given an immense amount of hints, including direct ones (such as me crying outside of the venue while you were trying to follow me everywhere around, and me saying in front of you while you stare at me that i just want to enjoy the event and the company of my friends and not be orbited and followed around everywhere like that) and i even directly asked you to go away and leave me alone the saturday night while everyone was drinking and you kept trying to approach me in every possible way. I'd go outside saying i wanted to be alone, and you'd instantly get up and ask my irl friends who came with me to the event (and they didn't know tf2 people!!) where i was gone and that you had to look for me. You'd invite yourself to everything, be it conversations or dinners out where the first day I really didn't think too much of, until the day after (saturday) and sunday i have straight up ignored you the whole day, moving rooms/area whenever you were nearby. Everytime I tried to hang out with the person whom you've mentioned for whatever reason, who's currently my boyfriend, you would try and take a chance to just sit in front of us and stare, not saying a word. I'd say "would be nice if you went inside to speak to others" and you'd still stand there, there were so many people you could've hung out with yet you chose to be right next to me constantly. I had no space and privacy at any point during those 3 days.

I didn't wanna talk to the admins, it's true, I got home and I just wanted to disappear and have you forget about my existence. The situation got bigger and bigger and much more serious by each day and it was inevitable eventually, so I spoke to both Supra and some german organizers (they all contacted me first). When Gideon approached me, I asked if he could at least make you guys understand you behaved so poorly, to apologize, and move on since I understand how much of a suffering this is for everyone, including you, even if you made a mistake. Mistakes can happen, awkward situations and terrible outcomes happen, but I was hoping to find some common ground for this. He instead eventually stopped replying to me, after he got his info or whatever (and he even got it wrong considering he said I answered to a question he has never asked lol), and just told me that "the guys in the game are just socially inept and not good with emotions and communications so we need to be patient"... okay? That's not my responsibility.

The "maybe i should've been a lot more direct" is just me blaming myself as i normally do when i feel very depressed and overwhelmed, thinking if i never came to lan then nothing would have ever happened. But the reality is that you guys need to take responsibility if you suffocate people's space and cross boundaries. This doesn't mean you deserve to be harassed and neglected, but the air you say you cleared, you proceeded to make it dirty by talking about the situation with everyone, mentioning names and lies. And yet, I've decided every single time to shut up and suck it up, tanking the consequences of "oh it's a girl in the community ofc it happens, oh it's this and that, oh she this and that". I understood you were trying to defend yourselves as it's quite a shit feeling to feel accused, but you said "we did nothing to Luny" when you could've simply said you were very cringe and awkward and apologize, it would've been mature of you and at least from me, which is the most important side in this since I am directly involved, I would've put an end to it. I was already doing horrible pre-lan for multiple reasons, the only enjoyable moments I had were a couple friends I was happy to meet and my partner whom I've known for years.

I've always been very kind to everyone in Mumble and at lan, and never in my life I would've predicted such a tragic outcome. Also, this shouldn't be anyone's business but ours and stop using this autism card, plenty of people hanging out with us at lan are autistic, yet no one has dared to treat me like that.

I only want to be left alone and play the game, I want to enjoy the company of people without any issues and you're making this impossible. I hate drama and I am not a vengeful person, like I said I don't wanna drop a super long document trying to disproof everything you typed so please just acknowledge that how you behaved was not good, and do better. Plus, I don't have a GoPro on my head or a recording software active on pc 24/7 where I can show how things truly went all the time, but perhaps question yourself why so many people, even unrelated ones to the Mumble server, reported stuff or acted as witnesses after the lan.

I don't condone any type of harassment towards you or Nicky, some situations pre and after lan got out of hand, some emotions weren't dealt with properly, and again, I want you both to recognize that and sincerely apologize. It's unfair you get treated like some sort of serial killer or worse, all I want is forgiveness and some peace. I don't want you exiled from the community or lans, just you to own up to your mistakes. PLEASE END THIS, it's not doing anyone any good.

Can this community not have allegations for more than a month? We're less than 1% the size of Minecraft's community (which is famous for controversies) and we consistently out do them in drama, verified or not.

Can we all just be normal people or at least try to larp being normal? If we did this place wouldn't be such a hell hole.

First of all I just want to make it clear that I am genuinely sorry for how I made you feel at LAN and I never wanted to make you feel uncomfortable, I have taken steps to never make someone feel this way again. I wasn't eager to bring this whole situation back up again, but the reality is I was banned from ETF2L for a year unjustly in my opinion. My name was dragged through the mud as I was demonized by people like Flick, Charlie and Matthes and if I hadn't gotten this out it would only leave the rest of the community to assume the worst about me, as a community member and a person.

My goal of this was to get my version of events out and let the people decide for themselves and to demonstrate the harassing and witch hunting nature of the individuals within the TLR circle. They would routinely tell people to cut contact with me and other people associated would encourage others to spread the word to get me removed from unrelated communities.

It's been mentioned before and you've mentioned it too so I'll address this briefly: I am not using autism as an excuse, but it is a contributing factor and has to be mentioned, that is my only goal with bringing it up. My actions are my own and I take full responsibility for how I've made you feel. You say in your post that you don't want me exiled from the community but this is what has happened, which is why I need to share my side of what happened.

I am truly sorry for the way I acted at LAN and the way I made you feel.

PoLANd 2026 Controversy - My Story

Hi everyone, Gideon from BEING ESPORTS here.

I want to repeat that what actually happened here is this:

Two players have been banned with NO investigation, NO clear evidence, contradicting allegations (and I will defend this until this community finally understands) and NO ability to defend themselves in any way. In fact there was even evidence AGAINST what has been presented and the bans were still applied.

In case you are still thinking there is video evidence - THERE IS NOT. This is a hoax verified by the venue and the PoLAN admins to not be the case.

We (BEING ESPORTS) decided not to copy these bans after speaking to Luny for 90 minutes, Nicky and Roticher for more than an hour each, the organizers behind PoLAN and the people originally raising the allegations + countless hours of chat communication. Nobody else was willing or motivated to do this work which is understandable in a passion driven scene - I still want to clarify this because we have been the most attacked for this (besides the two banned individuals) while we have been the only ones willing to put in the work which annoys me incredibly much. We are the least involved in this scene and the only ones who invested the energy to do the actual job that was at hand.

I see that some you here have a very skewed idea of how a proper administration process should be handled but if you believe that what resulted in the bans is anything close to a "good way of handling things" I would suggest you give this some more thought. If this is the majority opinion of this scene, it is doomed anyway and there is nothing left to save.

What has been wrongfully said here:

1. No, Nicky and Roticher could have not just "said sorry and moved on". They were banned without being even given the chance to understand what potentially happened. A ban has been applied without even a minimum of due process so they had no chance to ever do that. Even if everything that was described happened (for which I have evidence it didn't) they still had no chance to apologize at any point in the process before the bans happened.

2. I have spoken to almost everyone involved (those I didn't speak to didn't want to speak/ chat). The people raising the allegations have ALL given different explanations of what happened. Person A said "Person B had confronted them" person B said she didn't but Person C had done it while person C was under the impression Person A had been the one to confront them. I am 99,9% confident that the assumed confrontation has never happened for specifically that reason. I also know for a fact that at least some of the raised allegations are false.

On top of that FIVE individual people (meaning different conversations not started by me on different days) at ÜBERFEST confirmed that the only person insiting on the allegations to be 100% correct was known for raising wrongful claims like this and misrepresenting things that had happened in the past (NOT LUNY) which gave me even more of a good idea of what probably happened at PoLAN.

3. I am not saying nothing of the described behaviour happened at PoLAN. What I am saying is that this does not justify a ban.

My opinion (which doesn't matter too much but I still woud like to share it) is:

People were weird (nothing sexual and nothing involving physical touch - this was confirmed by EVERYONE including Luny), they were not confronted because nobody was grown up or brave enough to confront them but they said they had because they didn't want to own them not having done it. ALL further instances of approaching Luny then were seen as in contrast to the confrontation (which never took place) and everything else was therefore interpreted based on wrong information. This makes a normal situation seem weird without Nicky or Roticher being at fault for it. This furthermore made it impossible for them to notice on site. After the event, rather than owning the mistake of never confronting them about it, a small group of people rather insisted on things having taken place that never have to make the thing sound so horrible that a ban had to take place. Even people that were originally part of the allegating group have now confirmed that this is likely what happened and did so publicly in a different part of this forum.

Also what Luny is saying about me is once again quite inaccurate in just the same way as what was described to have happened on site but I just don't want to be a part of this discussion anymore. There has been so much misrepresentation of circumstances it is just surprising that anyone still believes in it.

I am tired of defending myself and our event for being the only ones doing our job here. The only thing accurate is that I stopped responding via DMs to her (in case of ONE question) at some time but not intentionally but rather because I was speaking to five different people in DMs at that time. I was told that the important information would be sent onward to Luny by someone else involved. So her question was answered, just not directly. Everything else is partially or fully incorrect.

Let me close with this:

Parts of this community have an incredibly weird idea how these things should be handled that are far away from what I would deem a good approach. Allegation = Ban is not a logic that can ever lead to anything good in the world. At the same time they would rather be right than being honest and just and I and our organization will NEVER accept or follow this path. It is a shame that the bans have not been fully reverted by every TO involved (with an excuse on top of it) as that is the only logical way to move forward and in any other place than a niche gaming community, Nicky and Roticher should get their lawyers involved to fight (and win) this 100% of the time.

This is the only post I will add to this discussion and will be my final participation in the entire case. I will leave it open for you to decide what you want to believe.

Just ask yourselves this is you are uncertain what to believe: Why would we invest days of work and risk significant financial and reputation damage to our event to defend two community members we don't know and have never met in our life (to this day)?

also idk the deets of the situation but it's rly bad looking in and seeing an admin go to bat for what by all means looks like a relativey cut and dry case, given u have the job of making people feel safe to attend ur event at all. "this already gutted uberfest attendance so let's make sure to double down!!!" is some epic admining. i dont care how much evidence u have of a conspiracy against the harraser, you will never not look bad defending them (with all that entails, given ur an admin who represents an event or org. it's basic PR) lol

This shouldn’t have ever involved you and you actively have made it worse.
You’ve already made some of the worst decisions possible in the lead up to ÜBERFEST 2026 to the extent of making a considerable amount of lan staff and players hate you.
