Forgiveness and understanding from the playerbase can only be reached when you admit that you have a problem or have made a mistake. RGL has had this problem for years on end where they make inconsistent bans, refuse to acknowledge or take responsibility; instead opting to keep silent and sitting on the outrage.
When it comes to cheating (see cukei/sampha), there are instances where the cheating became so blatant that RGL swiftly banned cukei in just under 8 months and sampha in a mere 3 months, after numerous reports and outcry in both player's case. Where, in this time, an entire DIVISION can be affected (meaning ten's of players), RGL would rather bide their time, instead of being more proactive and issuing a temporary ban until these conclusions were sorted out (worse comes to worst, you unban them and give a well meaning apology).
On the other hand, you have faris and r4bbit, who innocuously post a meme on Galaxy's LFT, someone who I'm sure is more likely to cringe at these posts rather than be offended or negatively impacted. They were promptly banned 2 weeks later. I'm sure that absolutely nobody was aware of this situation, before they were banned, because this incident happened on the RGL forums. It's because of incidents like this and the formerly egregious moderation by Mothership that the RGL forums' quest for serious discussion is taken anything but seriously.
I understand that there are different teams for the AC and RGL itself (not sure if/how the forums are a separate team of their own from the league). However, this lack of transparency whilst giving players more and more reasons to stop playing your league isn't going to help. If RGL is going to be proactive about bans, they should also be proactive about adjusting the ban/unbanning players if they (inevitably) make the wrong decision.
tobiasso for now i will leave it with an 8.5/10. (post-toilet experience may impact this score).

my toilet came out unscathed last night, the score will stand at an 8.5, praise be to the caniacs
springrollsexhibiting real eater behavior during your first time is a good sign, i am impressed
as a skinny person, this means the world to me
i am now officially done with my meal, it's been good so far, but real ones know that a true food review is only complete once it's out of your body, so for now i will leave it with an 8.5/10. (post-toilet experience may impact this score).
i replaced the slaw with a 2nd slice of toast
this is my mid-meal review. the chicken is good, although these tenders are a tad small for my liking. the fries are ok. the toast is good, needs to be more toasted and buttered though. the sauce is the real star of the show, good stuff
i got the caniac combo, i'll let u guys know what i think
if rgl thinks that cartoon chipmunks are being sexualized, they'd surely ban a lolicon for the same reasons, right?
Can we get a pug cancel button? Just played an open pug and the other team's Demo instantly subbed himself out, unable to find a sub for 20 minute pregame (plus an additional 2 or 3 minutes because the pug doesn't automatically cancel once the server time limit ends in pregame). Which essentially meant 11 players were stuck in a pug that wasn't going to start. Most people left by the 15 minute mark, and both teams readied with 2 players on each team. And while I don't really care about my elo, it sucks having to lose some just trying to get the dead pug over, just so we can get into the next pug.

I think a cancel button that requires between 8 to 10 players to go through would be pretty reasonable to avoid situations like this from happening again.

Not to say that the lack of P-REC is good, because it absolutely sucks for everyone. But people have used the built in demo recording system for years and have NEVER faced an issue of being able to find their demos, tournament mode or not. While P-REC makes it easier to find your demos, it's not that different from using in-game system. In the worst scenario, where you cannot manage to figure out how to setup the in-game demo system, you can just manually record your demos and they'll show up in your /tf/ folder.
