We all play tf2 in some form or another, but what's something else you really enjoy doing besides this video game?
Personally I've made my art hobby into a real passion, and it's one of the main things I do besides play Tf2.

I cultivate carnivorous plants. Been doing it since I got gifted a couple for my 18th bday. I'm 27 now
Now that I think about it, it was a month before i started playing TF2
venus fly traps, pitcher plants, sundews, butterworts
2 species of each

Keep them alive and they will reproduce asexually
First pitcher plant I got has become over 100 individual plants over the years
Gave a lot of them away to friends

album

Powerlifting.

It's crazy how much it's grown in popularity over the past few years.

Martial Arts has been really fun. I'm training in JKD, Kali, and Silat, but I will try Savate next week and some others in the coming months.

I took up BJJ about a year and a half ago and got my blue belt just over a week ago. Brutal sport mentally and physically which I have considered giving up multiple times but really glad I stuck it out. Would highly recommend for anybody looking for a martial art or to learn some self defence.

TwiggyTobI cultivate carnivorous plantshow useful are those against mosquitoes?

Musquitoes don't care. they hunt live prey whereas the plants use a nectar-like substance to lure foraging insects.
they will get stuck in sundews, but it'd be a coincidence. A flyswatter is most effective. And then you can throw the dead musquito into the sundew

The pitcher plants absolutely destroy flies and wasps. About 3 or 4 years ago I had around 70-80 pitchers at once and all were full of flies and wasps by the end of summer. Pitchers can catch pollinators like bees, though the bees don't often visit the traps because their instincts makes them prefer flowers. It also catches random beetles, mimic flies, etc. Anything that likes the nectar

Venus fly traps catch way less than you want them to but they're neat. Daddy long-legs get caught the most by far. Sometimes I'll throw in a live house fly myself if I catch one. they need to detect movement before closing, and the prey still needs to be alive after that for the plants digestive enzymes to be released

Sundews and Butterwort catch tiny bugs. gnats and such. You won't stop a gnat infestation in your houseplants' soil w sundews alone

tl;dr Pitcher plants will catch a bunch of flies and wasps, everything else is mostly there to look cool

Dungeons and Dragons/other roleplaying games; a lot of the people I've met through D&D are really interesting and passionate; hoping to find some people interested in the Battletech roleplaying games in specific at this point though.
