If you practice scout movement make sure your aim and movement are two separate things. You should be able to place your crosshair on the enemy while you dodge non-randomly instead of playing on rails by pressing A and D to position it accordingly. If you're looking for ways to practice it I'd say play some Soldier vs. Scout MGE against some Badlands Lord or try to track the bot on tr_aim while trying to keep an unpredictable movement pattern.

ehehe you shouldn't have asked me

the following are mainly for scout movement, but it is also basic ground straffes
Firstly, playing scout mge is great for the training, but i heard bhop maps are great to master the straffes while being in the air.
My personal training process for you is the following :

-tryhard 1D strafes, such as left and right, know when to alternate, when to more apm and when to do less (in order of tracking properly)
-tryhard 2D strafes, most people don't do that but going backwards and forward while keeping the 1D strafes can fuck someone else aim, it also great for the extra dmg you can put, if you're able to press w at the moment you're going for a shot, then pressing S during the opponent's shot, it's giving you little damage optimisation and you avoid some minor damages
-try hard 3D strafes, such as crouching at unusual timing for the opponent, or jumping around to dodge some shots

these 3 steps involves obviously you to aim as well, or even use your mouse to strafe, airstrafe, tracking...
the hardest part is now to incorporate all these movements into the same momentum, for example during a whole game, when you manage to do it, and think about all these while playing, just practice, and eventually it will become a habit to move like that. some NicO pov might give you an idea of these. especially facing scouts.

jump maps did wonders to my movement when i got tired of 6s for a bit and only played jump maps
although from my experience grinding jump maps, your movement only starts getting better when you start grinding for better times in maps you've already beaten so you keep doing the same maps and the same jumps and strafes over and over again and it just slowly burns in into your muscle memory
playing jump maps (let alone, grinding and going for good times in them) is boring and frustrating for a lot of people and it's understandable but it's great for movement

as for other methods, soldier mge does help and gives you a lot of opportunities to surf rockets and learn the timing of them, don't know much about scout mge but i assume it also works
i have nothing to comment on bhop/surfing since i've always proffered jumping to those but hey it works apparently

from what ive learned in mge its not about whether or not u dodge their shot its just about ur ability to execute whatever ur trying to do, medics obv its own different thing and i guess thats just being able to surf and outsmart the guy rather than u just being hard to hit its not rly 'dm' in that aspect its more gamesense thing

u cant have good movement on scout without having good aim

the idea is just u kill the guy before they kill you and u do that by moving where u need to be dependent on how much damage needs to be done. its got nothing to do with moving in a circle, adadadaing double jumping or anything like that and the moment u start thinking like that is how scouts have predictable movement thats easier to hit

and u see this a lot with mge scouts. u would think they would have an easier time vs soldiers in mge because thats just how the classes are, but most scouts do the same exact thing every life and if they don't have the aim to back that up they eat everything

Honestly big dicking it in mge on scout and just forcing yourself to run at people and just force yourself to either dodge rockets and hit good clean shots or die is probably the quickest way to improve movement. Factor in some surf maps and jump maps and you should improve pretty steadily.

For medic, tryharding in ultiduo will help, though if you want to grind, get a server and a friend on soldier. Go to baloo, put on cheats and give yourselves infinite health. Your soldier friend can practice his rockets and airshots on you, whilst you practice dodging and surfing rockets. You can practice your arrows whilst you're at this too.

mge movement is not in game movement. if u want to learn mge movement, take notes on dolphin riders mge video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDb_5fHF-gg

but tbh theres shit u do in mge that is almost never a good idea in real games, so not worth it overall.

i really think spire is the best way to learn practical surfing but a lot of what i did when i was first starting out was to just jump around the maps as scout. i remember i would sit in via mge and just try to jump around the map in different ways, like jump on the fence without looking at it and then jump from the fence to cliff and then the high rock etc etc.

have better aim and positioning and have to rely less on movement, if you get into a 1v1 have some good mindgames and control over your environment

aim and movement aren't 2 separate things

practice one during practicing the other

if you can air strafe even slightly bhop will barely teach you anything

ive definitely found jump maps to be helpful with movement, though i dont know if it really needs to be grinding the same maps cause until recently i hardly ever reran maps i would just try to beat the hardest t6's i could and it definitely helped my surfs and overall mechancis

though people say that sensitivity is just personal preference and doesn't matter, it's definitely way easier to have good movement/dodging if you play scout with a faster sens rather than like trying to dodge with 20in/360, so it might be the case that speeding up your sens a little bit makes it easier to have good movement

MGE / DM is good for combat movement, when to dodge projectiles, etc etc.

All other suggestions are super useful.

But a different idea - In general though movement is helped a lot by Map knowledge, knowing every edge, ledge and jump, when to jump to land in a particular spot and so forth. When I was a younger man I used to make an empty server go into Badlands / Granary / Gullywash or whatever and just jump around as Scout/Soldier/Medic/Demo and run around and practice strafing. I might have spent so much time on Badlands scout practising doing all the ledge jumps from Window, or middle jumps you can do from the Rock to the Point to the Window and strafing, aiming to strafe as widest angle I can whilst doing same jump - Shit like that.

Or after a pcw just spending 20-30 minutes mindlessly jumping around, moving around the map.

I second this. It's actually shocking to see how much your movement and timing improve when doing scout vs soldier in the ammomod arena. You insta die if you're not hitting your shots or dodging properly so it forces you to think about your movement and your aim
