dempseyMrSmithers96it baffles me that f1 cant seem to work out track limits when everyone else can. surely its 2 options, you let them go anywhere a la indycar, or its white lines/outside of kerb everywhere a la WEC. f1s never been good with this but im not sure ive ever seen the track limits change between sessions in any other motorsport, its bizzare. also enforcing white lines means you gotta stop letting drivers push each other off the track like leclerc did to norris.

all the time you have to leave da space.

race was still nuts though im hype af

The best solution if safety wouldnt be an issue is just put walls on the limits, I'd love to see F1 have strict track limits so you can't go off track every lap. I don't think we'll ever see the squeezing people off track thing stop though, the "my racing line my rules" mindset is too ingrained in the culture.

this feels pretty relevant again today. if theres a wall there at t1 max doesnt push lewis off and we get a proper race between them. its such a shame

Luckiest man on Earth as I've already said. He's an amazing driver don't get me wrong, but his insane luck is undeniable

hamilton stuck it round the outside when verstappen was taking the racing line. is there was a wall there ham would have had to back out instead on trying to stick it on the curbs. ver won that stop on the first turn of the chicane

that feels kind of weird to me. by some very similair logic the correct move for hamilton going into the left hander was to just turn across max and push him off on the inside. the overlaps were about the same at both of those points.

i dunno, i probably lean too far the other way in practical f1 terms, but i like seeing cars go side by side while on the track and thats just not happening any more

Grosjean going to IndyCar and then proceeding to get a pole position after that crash is a massive show of guts and his love for racing. Man's dedicated no matter what life throws at him.

Amazing photo.

It's kind of a shame that you are reliant on crashes and a safety car for Monaco to be an exciting race.....
