hi. i made a plugin that removes random fall damage. it's been thoroughly tested in dev pugs, and works fine.

Wait, how does exactly fall damage in TF2 works that needed this plugin for competitive usage?

EDIT: nvm, found the answer in the TF2 wiki

Note: There is a 20% random variance in fall damage, the following values are before this variation is calculated. The following values are also percentages, not exact values, as fall damage is dealt proportionately to maximum health. It should also be noted that these are theoretical values, calculated using the fall damage formula: Damage (%) = 5 * ( Velocity / 300 ).

This looks actually really sick. I kind of wonder how many fights in important match situations were won or lost due to this randomness without anyone even noticing

dunno how big of a part the randomness actually played here but uh
edit: actually he was 2 health so likely dead either way

Sounds like a solid plugin to use, definitely good to make the game more fair and consistent.

Playing med there are times where I could milk and probably be fine but due to the random variation I don't want to risk dropping. If it was consistent it would just be a judgement call, and imo would make the game more interesting because it's another skill you can master, knowing if you'll survive a given height or not.

Sounds like a solid plugin to use, definitely good to make the game more fair and consistent.

What's wrong with that? It's the velocity that matters when you hit the ground, not the height.
