Aite,

Scout mains (and other classes I guess), what do you do to get used to a new sens?

DM? MGE? Bot maps?

I have tr_walkway, tr_aim and tr_newbots but I'm not sure they help.

you probably just do not have good aim yet, you need to put your nose to the GRINDstone

you shouldn't have to get used to the new sens if ur sens is worse than wat u were using before then u just use wat u were using before

none of those things are specifically good at this sort of thing and no ones gonna give u the right answer. they're all equally as good even pubbing is good they all do different shit

like in DM its about being moreso aware of your surroundings and you have to switch targets a lot so its not so concise

the drawbacks of MGE is although it is more aim/movement intensive (playing scout is harder) you kinda barely have to move your mouse cause its just 1 guy which is unrealistic. the only real mouse movement u do is turning around after u kill the guy

even pubbing is really good and in some cases better than all of that shit

but really none of that means anything because really aim is just about 'raw aim' as in u should be able to do the same shit while using any sens

i tested this by putting in game sens 8 when im used to 1.6-2 and did pretty similar shit and beat a lot of players in mge with 2k+ elo and although my aim was obviously worse in my head it proves that although your sens has gotta be in a margin of acceptability its more your brain's perception of prediction and shit that matters more

bhop/surf is a good way to get used to your new sens

if youre not into skill based movement just play dm, newbots, etc

i have a bad habit of finding the best pro player of a given class and stealing their sens

just play the game and try not to think about changing your sens all the time, its entirely preference and whatever you choose you can be good with. aurora plays (played?) soldier with 30”/360, and mike played on 6.8”/360

I change mine all the time. Like every day until sometimes I stick for a while. My aim is pretty good when i stick with a sens and I'm happy with it. Obviously sticking is key and in planning on doing that now but I wondered how I can get used to it faster or most efficiently.

Changing it is some psychological shite. Ooh I couldn't quite react fast enough so I ll make it faster and then down the rabbit hole. Obviously stupid but once I'm in the cycle I just need to get used to whatever I pick.

Ultimately I'm just asking if there are any specific techniques people use, such as tracking bots as theyre in the air on tr walkway.

Aimer7Who is the perfect aimer? Someone with perfect reading skills and perfect mouse control, who can play at all speed (slow, fast), at all range (close, medium, long), perfect flick to track skills whatever the range of the flick, infinitely smooth and precise, and so on, right?
To achieve that, the perfect aimer has to use his fingers for micro-corrections at long range or for super precise shots, his wrist for mid range on faster targets, and his arm for big flicks or close range (bigger relative speed). Now suppose that the perfect aimer is 30cm/360.
What happens if the perfect aimer is changing his sensitivity, to, say, 20cm? He will have to use more finger and more wrist aim but a bit less arm aim. What if he goes 40cm? He will have to use less finger aim, but more wrist and more arm. In both case, he still has perfect aim
Hence why muscle memory is a meme: by changing sensitivity, for the same in-game situation, you're changing what body part you use to aim, and rescale the speed, precision, range, of your movement on the pad. This is the best way to improve your aiming skills as it pushes them

Exco definitely did that, but it was only possible with turn keys and a key bound to double(?) his sens for rocket jumping and other looking around.

pick a sens and never change it. my peak on scout was my 3rd year into the same sens. the vast majority of csgo pros never change their sens

Grixhow the fuck can you expect there to be a way to get used to a sens faster than just playing the game?????

Well obviously I can't play scrims all day every day and as with everything in life, some methods of practice are better than others.

Plus I'd rather be used to my sens before I scrim.

Pretty obvious, no?

Honeslty I don't even know what sens I use, try randomizing it once with your eyes closed and stick to that

ok so aiming and clicking things helps your aim and getting used to your sens and that's what you want, getting used to the sens so you can have better aim. i assume most people would draw the conclusion that the thing to do here is to play the aim intensive gamemodes such as dm,mge and even pubs.

Well that's where you're wrong. Since players like quad and puoskari used to track bots for hours. Which suggests there are other ways to practice. Obvious eh

but theres obviously no answer to that because scouts at every level find whatever they use the most useful....

its preference obv and u even kno that

ur just gonna get a pool of random ppl saying random shit that will ultimately mean nothing to u

StylaxNo shit you dopey cunt.

there is no "best" way to practise. its all what works for you and what you need to work on... if someone tells you that there is a 100% the best way to practise all the time they are braindead and you shouldnt expect there to be a best way to practise

edit: best also refers to "most useful"

Obviously there are better methods of practice , or 8000 hour pubbers would be as good as prem players.

Absolute basic logic that some methods of practice are better than others.

of course some are better than others but you get to a point where they are all equal so its a matter of preference and what your weaknesses are and not what someone else deems as most effective
