Via HLDS:

John Schoenick via HLDSWe're working on a mandatory update for TF2. The notes for the update are below. We should have it ready soon.

- John

Rumor has it:

- WYSIWYG in GameTracking: https://github.com/SteamDatabase/GameTracking-TF2/commit/c33a8be4316e151ea6d1c3f4fe02011d3823705c

- This update brings an end to a new record-long update drought which totalled 49 days since the 8/2/18 (8/3/18 UTC) updates

- Size is ~35 MB

------------------------

NCIX customers should be aware of an extremely serious data breach, which is a particularly dangerous situation due to the range of affected data (everything) as well as the inclusion of extremely sensitive info like SINs of former employees.

Newegg customers should also be aware of a separate data breach that affected recent purchases made between August 13th/14th through September 18th.

update- Community request: player_hurt events are now visible to SourceTV clients

Does this mean hitsounds and damage numbers for STVs? Update sucks still but if this is the case it's not totally horrible I suppose.
Expecting to be corrected and disappointed

Should we try sending emails in group? I have a bunch of issues (most with easy fixes) on some GitHub page, email could just be:

Hello, I am a competitive TF2 player and I would really appreciate if you took the time to look at the few issues that affect us! Here is a link to find them: https://github.com/ldesgoui/comp_6v6_bugs/issues/1
We would also appreciate more communication in any way possible
Thanks very much

i'm worried about them. seems like they're overworking themselves- tf team if you're reading this, dont be afraid to take a vacation. mental health takes precedence over your rigid corporate schedule.

hoolione email can accomplish that

I sent them like 2 or 3 "quality" emails full of details about two important bugs, if that were to be true, they would be fixed by now.
I know it's a shitty way to do it but honestly I'm desperate at this point.

ive sent valve many well written but short emails and the only one i ever got a reply to was about a l4d2 bug in 2016 that easily force crashes servers. they said they would fix it quickly (they didnt).

I'm not claiming that valve is updating at a reasonable pace even a little, but a project borealis for TF2 is fucking stupid and none of the casual players will notice.

TwiggySo player_hurt events are a community request above sticky det bug?

this was a one line code fix apparently

Tobupdate- Community request: player_hurt events are now visible to SourceTV clientsDoes this mean hitsounds and damage numbers for STVs? Update sucks still but if this is the case it's not totally horrible I suppose.
Expecting to be corrected and disappointed

it does nothing clientside without casting essentials. this basically lets esea casts have damage numbers (because they wont use stv+ on the servers)
