I used to have huge toxicity and tilting issues, and I think they stemmed from real life problems I had. Sometimes when I was having other issues outside of the game it made me really tense and the tiniest things would set me off. Sometimes if I got too angry during a scrim I would take a quick break after and get some food/water and that helped.

As someone who had anger issues when I was little, going for walks outside helped to relax my mind. Other than that, I try to think positively as possible, and not be too focused or serious.

its not that, i rarely get shittalked and even then i usually dont care that much, it's more 'self inflicted' i guess by putting pressure on myself

You know that sneaky voice inside your head telling you that you’re not good enough, smart enough, pretty enough, whatever enough? That’s your Mean Girl. And she’s doing her best to keep you stuck in Fear Town, too scared to go after the life you always imagined.

Stop caring about logs.
I stopped giving a shit about them and I started to play more relaxed and more consistent because I dont feel the need to show off my statistics to other people to try and impress them.

Then unless you're comitted to spending your time doing something that constantly upsets you you need to start looking for more hobbies. Chances are you haven't looked hard enough or just haven't come across something that's grabbed you yet.

you need to find something else in your life worth doing. try weight lifting, that is very popular among try hards like ourselves. Tell yourself that "this is just a game, this dose not define me as a person" during meditation. another option is finding a girlfriend, that will take care of that problem on its own. You have to accept that there are just things you can not influence or control, so just let it go and move on. Life is to short to be angry, and you don't have enough friends to dispose of them all.

face your demons, destroy the source of your anxiety within yourself, and become the champion you know you can be.

just gotta accept and move on, theres nothing that's gonna change what happend in the past, but instead it can be used to prevent the same things from happening again, and try to keep positive attitude, if theres bad chemistry in the team and all hope is lost, I tend to just play for frags cause fuck it, just a pug

from my experience, if you're tilting over things that you recognise are problems in your own gameplay then one thing that you have to do is take a deep breath, and think about what you did wrong instead of "I can't fucking believe that went wrong". If you're missing shots, grind some DM. If you're dying a lot, watch one of your demos and think about what you could've done better, or not done at all. If it's an issue that somebody else's gameplay is having (say, your scout feeds 24/7, for example), instead of dwelling on it and getting more and more pissed off over time, talk to them about what they're doing and try to fix it.
I hope this helps you :)

the way i fixed my tilting was by going into games with complete indifference, not really expecting anything and just played like i usually do. and when i did get mad i would just grit my teeth and not say anything. i think the most important part about it was not voicing my complaints to my teammates.

What fixed my attitude problems and tilting was grinding Quake duel as a brand new Quake duel player and getting rolled almost every game for 2 months straight. Tilting and being mad also made my decision making worse which led to me losing harder.

Once you realize that no stat matters besides game/round wins it makes it a lot easier to play. Realizing that your teammates actions are completely out of your control helps a lot too. Just focus on your own play and try to help your team the best you can.

find something u care about more than tf2 so that u get really pissed off when u think about it and then tf2 will be meaningless to you thus removing tilt
