This community has failed another person and I honestly cannot feel bad for anyone here. Collectively as a community RoL's emotional state has been a constant and continuous punching bag that was allowed to be toyed with by the worst actors within this community. The pleads for help were there and she was shunned, ignored, and berated heavily, you name it. Now when RoL's passed her boiling point, people throw around generic statements about "hoping that she gets the help she needs" and talking about the fucking legality of her statements instead of the real issue at heart here. This community has allowed a cyst of deplorability to fester and slowly eat at its long-term health while acting none the wiser. You can't just try to "thoughts & prayers" through this one because lives are now at stake.

Either smarten up and do what needs to be done, or allow this to happen and have another RoL pop up in the future. Adapt or die.

Individual donations to charity will not be anywhere near enough to bring any sort of worthwhile reform as that individual cannot singlehandedly fund an entire new railroad network for the US unless they're like Jeff Bezos or some shit (and we all know those ultra rich retards would never do anything like that). Reforming our HSR network will not be able to come to fruition through individuals singlehandedly attempting to fight shit, and can only come if individuals are able to come together as one collective unit that could then be large enough to cause significant pressure to our government to force reform to happen or threaten the government to lose their power through revolutionary means.

You thinking that individuals can save the world as individuals and using that as an excuse to be able to sit on your ass and do nothing is not only laughably stupid, but also singlehandedly exposes you as a hypocrite if you really do claim to be a Christian. Taxation was created to counteract selfish assholes like you since if there were to be no way to force you, you would happily want to sit on your ass and horde wealth

The American governments push for the concept of the American Dream and promotion of a more individualistic instead of a communal way of thinking has really poisoned the minds of the American people to the point where we can never truly advance as a society because people are stuck in this mentality of "Okay but how does it benefit me personally?".

The worst part is when most of these potential fixes have long term benefits for all of society, but because it is not a short term gain, people won't be willing to invest a little or give any sort of small sacrifice to help others or create more beneficial systems that could then be extended back to them.
