ive been eating a lot of carrots lately and i dont have a peeler so ive been eating them raw but my parents always made me peel them when i was a kid.

Are there any health risks from not peeling my carrots?

If there are should I invest in a peeler or just use a knife?

If I need a peeler are there any recommended models i should get?

ymRaisinhttps://dinersjournal.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/03/25/to-peel-or-not-to-peel/that articleA few vegetables I no longer peel unless I’m being fussy: carrots, sunchokes (never), eggplant (never. Never. Ten times better unpeeled anyway for most uses), asparagus (depends on the thickness), and often potatoes.

what the FUCK is a sunchoke

make a comparison of your tf2 before eating carrots to after eating carrots with skin and then youll have your answer if there are risks involved. TF2 is life so if it makes you play worse its a risk

Peel carrots?? They don't even have an outershell like an apple.
Just wash them properly and you are fine.

if you can eat potato skins which have been in the ground full of manure i don't see why you cant eat a carrot's outer layer if you wash it

i think it tastes better if you don't peel it. buy 2, peel one and compare. maybe 4 so you can also test washed vs unwashed. i'd be glad to know your findings so i can log that into my database.

washing and peeling is ultimate purification but i don't think it is necessary because the dirt is probably healthy. on the taste side? personally i like a bit of mud. i love dirt, but thats just me. im a messy boy

I've literally eaten carrots straight out of the ground with just barely hosing them off as a washing solution - I am still alive and have suffered no ill effects.

MarxistI've literally eaten carrots straight out of the ground with just barely hosing them off as a washing solution - I am still alive and have suffered no ill effects.

thank you marxist - this is the kind of answer i have been looking for. empirical evidence, not a bunch of people pussyfooting around the answer or linked articles. i want hard proof, and you have given it to me.
