The gameplay, really.

Also the fact that after many many hours the game still makes me laugh when something silly or totally random happens

You get to have a bad rep, wreck someone who thinks you are bad, and they'll feel awful for losing to you.

gameplay but i think i squeezed all what i can get from this game, still really fun though

also if you really like the drama in this game you need to go check out some other communities where some other super wild shit happens because honestly tf2 is pretty tame when it comes to like shit getting real

When I'm streaming I'm sat there bouncing in my chair going HOOO at all the airshots and stuff. Dashner can confirm from all my "REPLAY DAT" shouts at LANs.

The air control feels better and smoother then any game i've ever played. The simplicity of it is very easy to understand when you first start playing, but once you start to really learn how to move well, its insane how high the ceiling is. It also allows people to move in a very unique way and create their own style, which i think is really cool.

playing pubs with friends, then starting a pug group with them, and finally forming a team with them to play in leagues. tf2 was my first competitive game so it was all new to me.

also the frag / meme videos.

The closeness of the community - at some point in our careers, we have all probably went out to teach someone new how to play our game/meta.

Verticality. The air control, airshots, big bombs, insane fast rollouts, massive sack waves on Viaduct, shooting scouts out of the air, mindblowing midair crossbows at the last second.

The fact that we're not motivated by money. We're here because we (hopefully) want to be here. If it's not because of the game, it's because of the people we meet.

As I like to quote now, the Sloth eSports guy at GXL complimented the TF2 players there, and went on to say "I got in a fist fight at a CS LAN once."
