daft punk - discovery
interstella 5555 is one of the coolest movies ever

mystery skulls - forever
ghost is probably one of the most catchiest tunes ever and has an awesome music video

capital cities - in a tidal wave of mystery
farrah fawcett hair is so ridiculously good wtf

anamanaguchi - endless fantasy
this album brings me way back and makes me feel like a little kid

jens lekman - night falls over kortedala
reminds me of one of my most complicated relationships i have ever been in since it was basically our album :3

猫叉Master (nekomata master) - crevice
there's no full links to the album on youtube, but he's one of my favorite rhythm game artists/videogame music producers and my favorite songs are probably rainbow after snow, clumsy thoughts, connective, REcollect, and REcorrection

a lot of his music fits my personality i think

also ty for making this or else i would have never known nekomata made another album since i last checked

@ thmpsn how can you say its gonna be your favorite album, its not even out

to call an album your favorite, you must listen to it at least 50 times and let it accumulate dust.

when you come back to it in 5-10 years and its still good, you will know it wont age for you and it will be based.

ELO-Time
Like I said in the last thread, this is probably ELO's greatest album. It works good as a singles album like Out of the Blue, but the songs also flow together so well and the story told is a nice take on a time travel story. 21st Century Man, Hold on Tight, and Epilogue work so well as the final trilogy of songs as well.

Pink Floyd - Animals
I love the flow on this album. Each song is important, with its own sound, and the tempo of the album is never suddenly changed. Everything is so smooth.

Radiohead - OK Computer
I can't really say anything about this that people haven't already said. It just sounds fantastic.

Stromae - Racine Carrée
Every song on this album sounds great and, more importantly, they don't sound the same. Stromae tackles everything from social media to parental death with a unique sound. Also, it has some awesome music videos with great choreography and animation (Stromae even created an instagram account to coincide with the story of one of the singles, Carmen).

and some others

Fitz and the Tantrums - More Than Just a Dream
Kansas - Leftoverture
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Gorillaz - Demon Days (duh)
Genesis - Invisible Touch
Weird Al - Mandatory Fun
The Who - Tommy
Supertramp - Crime of the Century
ELO - Out of the Blue

Green Day - Insomniac (best green day album lyrically. They were also my favorite band when i was 13 so i had to put them on here somewhere) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNiYrKyERv0

The Steinways - Missed The Boat (this album was a huge influence on my own songwriting. They sound like the stuff i write if it wasn't acoustic) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edNJPHwqKys

Piglet - Lava Land (This is my favorite math rock record. Its very melodic and doesn't try too hard to show you how technical they can be. Its one of the few math rock records I believe almost anyone can appreciate even if they don't like complicated music)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKNPUH8UEO8

Paul Baribeau - ST (beautifully personal folk punk) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15g2LQXmouU

AFI - Black Sails In the Sunset (New AFI stuff makes my ears bleed but I have to admit to loving this album. It has a lot of variety in terms of tempo and aggression and the lyrics do a good job at being dark and poetic while only rarely seeming like they're trying too hard. Davey's vocals were also pretty sweet before he fucked up his voice.)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2KohTWbNdk

Descendents - Milo Goes to College. (This was the album that got me into real punk rawk. i think my mom told me to listen to this band.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpfXVd-zfrg

Melt Banana - Cell Scape (Melt banana is a noise punk band from japan. Their guitarist uses a lot of really fucking crazy effects and their vocalist sounds like an anime girl getting fucked in the ass. A lot of their songs are really fast and energetic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFwCpw8AQBg
