I think there's still things to be done to keep the scene healthier, but the unfortunate part is that it requires a lot of volunteer work. You COULD try and engage with reddit / tf2center / uncletopia / whatever forums there are for tf2 consistently, host newbie more cups, try to make prem seem more interesting to new viewers coming in (i.e. try to build up storylines to keep people engaged with many news posts etc) or whatever ideas you have. Issue is doing this is a thankless job with no pay and if you fuck up once you get hated on, so you can't really expect anyone to put that much into it. Also the people who are doing this volunteer work to keep the lights on, like league admins, casters, producers, etc, deserve a lot more praise than they get.

sup can i get removed from there lol
Seems to me that this was a situation where some nerd threw such a tantrum at a shit joke he decided to bring in the admins, who should've never been involved in this in the first place, and the admins made the wrong decision. Think recently etf2l admins have been doing a good job at running the league and starting to put their foot down on all sorts of things, and this was an unfortunate misstep on their part, but it was quickly rectified so good job at least owning up to it.
rofl etf2l hasnt even told us when the season starts but what we do know is we're gonna play with a weapon we've said no to twice before i think. why is it that things like medic speed nerf have a poll (that gets shot down mostly by people who have never played without the medic speed) and then later needs a test cup and whatever else, but this is just set in stone by rgl and ozfortress for us?
>player gets banned
>"i didn't do nothing"
>#free[gamer]
>"etf2l release evidence"
>lengthy nerd essays on why [gamer] should be unbanned
>nothing happens
>everyone stops caring and moves on
another riveting episode in etf2l bans a cheater
oh no how can i now see my stickies jumping with 3rd person on :D
That screenshot where aoshi talks about how they're doing admin work for free is a bit odd to me. I mean obviously the admins care about the competitive community since they're doing this for free and respect for that, but is it really too much to ask to have 3 seasons a year, like we've had for over a decade? It's not an unexpected thing you run into when you become an admin in etf2l.
im ready to sacrifice the legacy of my 5th-8th place finish in mid in season 34 so that admins dont have to focus on data restoration and we can play the video game season
This league has been adamant on not taking action where it's needed for so long it's no wonder that teams can just do this and know they'll get away with it. Every season half the divs get sandbagged in this league, everyone sees that it'd be a miracle to be actually forced to play the div you should be in.
Iunno at least admins are taking action where it's truly needed; debating banning the entirety of feila for using /flip to decide if they're going kritz or not.
winning means losing points u love to see it
