#7 Solemn Vow unbanned in September Global Whitelist update in News

rofl etf2l hasnt even told us when the season starts but what we do know is we're gonna play with a weapon we've said no to twice before i think. why is it that things like medic speed nerf have a poll (that gets shot down mostly by people who have never played without the medic speed) and then later needs a test cup and whatever else, but this is just set in stone by rgl and ozfortress for us?

#78 Please have S37 in autumn 2020. in TF2 General Discussion

That screenshot where aoshi talks about how they're doing admin work for free is a bit odd to me. I mean obviously the admins care about the competitive community since they're doing this for free and respect for that, but is it really too much to ask to have 3 seasons a year, like we've had for over a decade? It's not an unexpected thing you run into when you become an admin in etf2l.

#44 Please have S37 in autumn 2020. in TF2 General Discussion

im ready to sacrifice the legacy of my 5th-8th place finish in mid in season 34 so that admins dont have to focus on data restoration and we can play the video game season

#18 Calling out div 1 etf2l teams in TF2 General Discussion

This league has been adamant on not taking action where it's needed for so long it's no wonder that teams can just do this and know they'll get away with it. Every season half the divs get sandbagged in this league, everyone sees that it'd be a miracle to be actually forced to play the div you should be in.

Iunno at least admins are taking action where it's truly needed; debating banning the entirety of feila for using /flip to decide if they're going kritz or not.

#35 ETF2L and the Fresh Meat Challenge #2 in TF2 General Discussion

ETF2L: We strictly condemn any kind of racism, sexism or intolerance towards people of different cultures, religions, countries, genders or sexual orientation.

Also ETF2L: Mind that nobody actually used a slur in that match technically. The scoreboard had to be exactly in this order for this poor „joke“ to work.

#10 RGL Traditional 6s in TF2 General Discussion

Honestly the only thing that's keeping me on the fence about this is the whole "salary cap rule" which they used to break up froyo in 7v7. If RGL adressed it and made sure stupid things like that won't happen again I'd be all for this.

#46 New Beginnings in TF2 General Discussion

I don't really get this honestly. I think having local leagues representing its people has been working fine. What's bringing some sort of an international bureau into it going to accomplish? Who does it benefit?

Only people I'd see actually gain something from this are the few teams that might possibly go to another continent to play video games. To me that doesn't even seem too beneficial since the americans don't seem to have problems winning on an eu ruleset.

For the rest of us it seems it'd just make it harder to have things we like happen. If, for example, eu players like or want something that the others don't, what will happen? Right now the answer seems simple, ETF2L does what its playerbase wants. By the community, for the community type of thing as you say. I'm afraid that if we get some global org to meddle in these decisions the local people who actually play on the leagues will have less power over what they'll play, which obviously isn't a good thing. I don't care how the americans, aussies, asian players or whoever play 6's, since it doesn't affect me. I care about what the community I'm in plays.

So ye, in short I don't see why players from whichever league should let others who will never play in their league have any say in what they do.

If this happens I want some big dick energy titanium spine type of guy to represent eu, not some weeb........
