I guarantee you there will be nothing better than sunshine to replace it if you vote it out. Do you guys seriously want to play gpit again? Think about that for a few minutes. If you REALLY want to get rid of something, get rid of gran or gully, but the map rotation as it is right now is pretty decent.

ya we need more big ass maps with huge chokes that are miles apart so that the second anything even looks like its going wrong u can run away and spam

if you wipe on mid you deserve to lose the round i dont get where u get the idea that its ok to wipe on mid what the fuck

i like gpit week because its always like a special event. Nothing is the same during gpit week. The weird strats come out, the teams get together to come up with some stupid engie, pyro, and heavy on the roof while the medic and demo hide with kritz behind a ramp strategy, The sniper main pug ruiners get a chance to shine, and a teleporter actually gets used. Yeah maybe there is some luck involved and there are a lot of upsets but I've always had a fondness for the map. Its also a nice change of pace

Will any of the older valve maps be revisited? I don't know much about the map history of early comp, but maps like Yukon and foundry don't look so bad.

Wasn't there some preseason maps for UGC like derelict, hyces map, and ofc sunshine.

i'm really curious as to why people are praising sunshine so much, it would be nice to hear some actual thoughts instead of just 'its good' , i'd personally like to see the raw stages of sunshine before everything was added, and by everything i mean all the useless clutter/objects surrounding the map, the size of the map is fine and in transition to each point it works but there is so much shit on the map that should just be scrapped

Neither of which are valve maps (community maps), and I don't believe they are terribly well suited for 6v6.

freight suffers from a gamebreaking last and yukon has bad stuff all over the place
foundry is too large and has too much health? from what i remember. also last is bad.

Mid is only 1 point on the map. The punishment for having a bad mid should be having the hold last with uber disadvantage. On other maps you actually get a slight chance at holding, but on granary it's next to none. On top of that, demomen can get from mid to last in <10 seconds and sticky spawn from a nonpunishable position.

As much as I love to toot my horn about my maps, logjam is not where it could be right now. It plays pretty well, but it's still got a ways to go. In a few versions, it will be a really good map but at the moment it's not quite perfect. I'd love to see it this season, and I know ETF2L and CEVO are giving it a shot, but I also don't want the community to try it out with where it's at and immediately go "shit map I don't want to play it anymore" without realizing that I seriously work on my maps.

just because a mid isnt wide open so you can play SUPER FUCKING PASSIVE AND SAFE and hope that the other team just runs 1 by 1 into your vagina strat mid setup doesn't mean its unfun or bad. not even sure what you mean by blind, i guess because you can't see absolutely everything everywhere it's blind?

"almost certainly" losing the round because you wiped on mid should be the goal of map makers. if you got raped so hard your entire team died and you didnt pick the med i think the other team deserves an almost assured round.

i dont like granary that much tbh, but i think maps like sunshine where you can sit half a mile away from each other spamming and mulching anything that tries to get in early/aggressive are way worse than granary.

unless there's another actual good map out there to replace sunshine i'd prob leave them as is.

gpit was stupid, too much "welp, moved too far left by 1 pixel, we lost the match guys sorry" and playing against any combo of heavy/engi/pyro for an entire match is godawful

oh, and it's too bad that warmfront hasn't been fully reworked yet, would really like to see that maps last get fixed and maybe some small tweaks to 2nd. mid was fun and balanced as shit.

I don't think anyone else has said that as straightforward as you did. yeah, the visuals are nice, but I also realize that maybe streamlining things a bit might make for a better time playing the map.

I've already got certain areas planned for simplification (see: valley and café/area outside café on second? I think that's what everyone calls them) so that'll be able to be done. Removing props and making textures/clipping a bit cleaner will help too.

Also reworking that underground labyrinth is a process that's currently underway. It's a flank, at best, and a nuisance at worse so I don't think it merits so many entrances/exits. That's a fix.
