Has your life improved since you quit?
I guess? I'm not forcing myself to play a game I wasn't really having fun with anymore and decided to play other games with my friends outside of this community.
Do you get bored enough to feel the urge to come back to TF2 often, or are you satisfied enough with where you are (or dissatisfied enough with TF2 when you left) to not even consider it?
Haven't touched TF2 in two years, and anytime I think I might want to play it again I watch a stream of it or something and am quickly reminded why I quit.
Did you have some other, non-videogame hobby to spend your time on, or did you exit into the world with no clear plans for what to do next?
I still play games, just not TF2. I played Dota 2 for about two years, sometimes I'll play a game or two every few months. I tried OW for two months and got tired of it. I like Rainbow Six Siege casually, sometimes play fighting games, and I'm playing a lot of the good singleplayer games I missed out on during the 7 years I played TF2. Also I have a good gaming PC now so I can actually play modern games too.
What was the main reason that you decided to quit TF2?
The game wasn't fun in pubs for me, and most of my friends in the comp community already had teams or were at a higher skill level than me and I didn't really click well with most people that WERE at my skill level at the time.
And, of course, why do you browse a forum for a game you no longer play?
Sometimes I like lurking here to see if there's any funny shitposts.
