Getting straight to the point: Im curious what DPI and in-game sensitivity you guys use. Im not here to discuss what the best cm/360 is, but Im sure some of you are quite opinionated anyways. If you could please spend 1 minute filling out this google form, that would be amazing.

I scale 3200 dpi on my sensor down to 800 (easier to remember values) to keep the feel of 800 dpi on my desktop while keeping the higher dpi benefits. There wasnt an option for that.

im surprised by how many people use 800 dpi i saw in a video that 1600 dpi reduces input lag by some margin.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwf_F2VboFQ
but it prolly depends on the mouse native dpi and not specifically to 1600 dpi

heres the distribution of peoples cm/360 as of this morning. more and better graphs to come, but thought this was worth sharing now anyways.

Somehow I didnt see the link you posted smh ... Very interesting indeed!

Thanks for sharing that information! I was more interested in peoples cm/360, if there was any correlation to class preference, and how many people have multiple cm/360 for different classes, rather than most common DPI etc. Hard to include options for every parameter/ custom mod people have with their mouse.

I'm aware I'm probably the only person that has theirs changed, but there's no option for windows mouse ticks in this. I play with what would look like a higher mouse sens (3.9 ingame 1200 dpi) until you factor in I'm on 5/11

do you use raw mouse input? that should ignore all windows mouse settings from my understanding. I guess I shouldnt have assumed everyone uses raw mouse input, even though everyone should...

I'm overall surprised how highs people sens is. Usually, like in csgo, the norm is closer to ~700-100 edpi or so (or like where my name is on the chart over 40cm/360). I mean I get it's a different game and all, but it is still surprising.

I don't suppose it's possible to get a breakdown of this by class? That distribution looks about right, but it'd be interesting to see how it varied for demos compared to scouts, say

Entries with incorrect steam ID's will be ignored in order to weed out junky entries fyi

Reerowho the fuck put on the form that i have 40 inches per 360 i did not submit this

Is your entry of 800 DPI at 0.5 in-game sens correct? If so, are you using raw mouse input and enhanced pointer precision off? If not, what is your correct DPI/sens?

obmdis there a google sheet somewhere for this data set
I want to see other cool graphs on sens :)

I can share the final spreadsheet once I filter out some garbage entries. Ill also be making more graphs to post here as I get around to it.

Heres a quick update:

https://i.imgur.com/qsCm0lo.png

Here are the average cm/360 and in/360 per 6s class so far:
Scout: 32.3 cm / 12.7 in (50 entries)
Soldier: 19.5 cm / 7.7 in (59 entries)
Demo: 29.6 cm / 11.7 in (19 entries)
Medic: 23.8 cm / 9.4 in (15 entries)

Im trying to use pythons matplatlib, which I havent used in years, so its not the best. More and better graphs to come!

Also, if you need to change your entry, you should be able to go back and edit it.

I don't suppose that's got anything similar to ggplot's facet_wrap? Might be an idea to help present stuff like sensitivity by class

currently working on adjusting cm/360 for linux users (their sens is half of what it would be on windows) and fixing duplicate entries.

IDK what to tell you other than the first submission for "slicerogue" had 800 DPI and 0.4 in game sens. The other is 400 DPI and 8 in-game. Doing the best I can to make the best decisions on how to handle small issues like this, but it seems as I fix one issue, and another 2 pop up. c:

This poll is running on the honors system to some extent. While there isnt much incentive to take advantage of that outside of distorting the accuracy of my graphs, its still enough for some people. I asked for peoples steam ID primarily to avoid duplicate alias names, but also keep out lazy imposters, but it still isnt a large barrier. Hope you can understand. Im enjoying the challenge and any helpful feedback or corrections are welcome.
