for anyone looking to buy a 144 / 240 hz monitor, i can only recommend the offical benq outlet.
https://www.benq.eu/en-eu/refurbished-shop/refurbished-zowie-monitor.html
was able to get a xl2450 for 260€, after selling my old XL 144hz spending 170€ total.
the packaging was a bit damaged and the display language of the monitor was set to chinese but apart from that it was like brand new when it arrived.

Hey everyone,
I have deliberated for too long without any lean towards making any decision.
I am looking for a second monitor to compliment my Asus VG248QE. My desired specs are: true 24", IPS, 1920x1080, lower latency the better. Some models I've looked at are:
- https://www.costco.ca/acer-ka242y-23.8-in.-amd-freesync-monitor-(1920-×-1080-).product.100655760.html
- https://www.costco.ca/samsung-24-in.-ls24r350fhnxza-fhd-monitor-(1920-%c3%97-1080).product.100665080.html
- https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0058UUR6E/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza
Any particular make or model better than others from anyone's experience? Anything people have now that's similar that they'd recommend?
My budget is ~$200CAD not including tax. I've also contemplated just buying the updated VG248QE (VG248QG) because it's only ~$60 more from most of the monitors I've been looking at. But I barely have the hardware to justify 1080p@144hz so I don't see a reason to go higher on that.

hey all, I was looking into fancy 1440p IPS monitors if I ever feel like upgrading from my old ASUS 144hz, and I saw a lot of people recommending the LG 27GL850-B, as it has ridiculously low response time FOR AN IPS (average of slightly below 5ms)
this might be kind of a dumb question but I've only ever used a TN panel, how noticeable is that loss in response time in actual competitive games? anyone have experience with it or any newer IPS being advertised with a 1ms response time?

You will not be able to perceive the lower response time just based on feel (unless you're coming from a monitor with a high response time). You want a low response time on your monitor because it minimizes image ghosting which will help with clarity and image quality. Ghosting will make it look like you have motion blur on.
This of course highly depends on the monitor because some manufactures make their monitors have 1ms but have horrible ghosting. The LG 27GL850 is a really good monitor and doesn't have that issue. Though the "below 5ms" is pure marketing because it achieves it by introducing other artifacts like ghosting. As long as you keep the setting of the response time to just "Fast" and not "Faster" it will be fine.

I think Acer is releasing a new cheaper high hz monitor again?
https://www.prisjakt.nu/produkt.php?p=5682286
Managed to find 3 retailers in Sweden where you can book it, can't find it anywhere else but it's supposedly set to release 2021-05-07
It's either 360hz or 390hz(????) IPS 24.5" 1080p with FreeSync Premium but costs $650 or 540€
I will be purchasing this.

I lied, I got impatient and decided to just buy a Samsung Odyssey G7 27" instead, can't complain about 240hz on a 1440p VA panel to be honest, was considering the Acer Predator XB273UGX but the G7 seemed like more value.
Liking it thus far, it has now replaced my Samsung SyncMaster 957MB.
