I kind of have a different way of dealing with losing, as in I struggle internally and blame it on myself and get really depressed.

yeah this is how I feel, not really tilting but the psychological effect of how if you did better your team could of won just makes me feel mad at myself

u just gotta get over it man

shit happens and in videogames it doesnt honestly matter as much as, for example, a family member dying.
to avoid tilting just think on the brightside like, for example again, hey at least i didnt fail a really important test, or i didnt get fired, etc. or if u want it to be relateable to ur current loss ingame just say something like, i made my greatest attempt and i got fucked, oh well.

i just get it out of my head and keep working with the people i play with because i want to see us succeed

so really i think that just wanting to win and avoiding the distraction helps, hard for me to explain it

Well, think about it. What do you want to accomplish with your practice? To improve, right? Maybe even become the best?

Whether it be to simply improve or have some far-fetched dream of winning it all (not bad to have those, by the way), tilting doesn't help either case. If you reach that realization soundly, you won't tilt in the bad way. Maybe it will take some reminding for you to really get that down, but otherwise you don't really care about what you accomplish with your practice or you are someone who actually thrives off tilt and pushes themselves forward as a result of it. The latter is somewhat rare in my opinion since most people just hinder themselves by tilting or get angry at themselves in a way that makes them regress if anything.

I don't think there's any special recipe to avoid tilting if you somehow chronically tilt for no reason (all things considered such as why you practice in the first place, play that pug, etc). If anything, chronically getting upset at a computer game (even if you are perfectionist) to the point where you just hinder yourself probably means you should stop playing that game or resolve some other issues in your life that need to be resolved.

After being tilted like fuck for years I decided to try my very best to finding the easiest way for me to avoid tilting. At first I started trying to get side things to distract myself I were getting upset (like chewing gum). The easiest way for me to get rid of being tilted now is whenever I start getting too aggravated I say outloud "I'm getting so tilted." Idk why but being audible about me being mad makes it much easier to laugh it off and return my focus.

Have your teammates support you. It's so much easier to not tilt when you have buddies there, holding your virtual hand, pushing you to be a better person, while also accepting the occasional failure.

Also, have fun. Hard to tilt when you're busy laughing!

VandIf anything, chronically getting upset at a computer game (even if you are perfectionist) to the point where you just hinder yourself probably means you should stop playing that game or resolve some other issues in your life that need to be resolved.

This is true. I used to very easily spiral into this mess of "I'm awful, I can't even do a game right" every time I made mistakes and finally realized it was a consequence of doing the same thing in real life in a lot of situations, it was just somehow more apparent when playing. So now I'm consciously avoiding that - whenever I feel like talking myself down I just stop and change the subject. It helps, both on and offline.
