So, without actually letting people test it, they dumped it? It was one of the two reasons I was looking forward to this update. The 2nd was the SFM, which didn't even have voices. What's the point of personally taking in community members to do a SFM and not even have voices? I mean, other than that it was a good video, but I thought the entire point of them being involved was to provide stuff (mainly voices) that a normal video editor could not do.

You will have noticed that the map is not part of the update page. This is because it is not officially part of the shipped update. On Novemeber 13th, YM and I found out that the map was cut from the update. The reason given was that Valve felt it was 'too confusing and challenging for new players.'

Why not just put it in on a beta map server then?

Edit: They think cp_snowplow is confusing (really it being a slightly different/unique attack and defend map) but rd_asteroid wasnt when it first was introduced... comical

James was working with a team, maybe they wanted to go silent as to avoid bias. This film told a funny story with great cinematic effect without voices and I was just as happy for it

I was there for all of 5 minutes to see if I could find pictures of the new cosmetics, saw a thread about mixup and some kid calling them all cunts.

On the flip a friend of mine mentioned to me about someone he saw saying that the "Competitive matchmaking" is just going to be this dumb duck collecting business, was there anything related to the matchmaking things in the code?
