pendaall these NA casters suck now

I disagree that we all suck, but if you (or anyone that thinks the same) could provide some constructive criticism, it would help everyone. It's kind of shitty to be talked down upon then receive no feedback on how to improve.

Let me preface this by saying I appreciate you and yimi casting every game since the games probably wouldn't be getting casted at all otherwise. I don't watch any casts anymore because I can't stand listening to the casting though, and I know most of my friends feel the same way. For you personally, I find your analysis of the game is wrong like 70% of the time, which is odd because I think you know more about the game than you seem to show when casting. You also keep using these stupid catch phrases and then seem to realize halfway through that they don't accurately describe what you're trying to say but keep going with it anyways. Slow down and think about what's going on and stop using the same 10 lines all game long. On top of that I just really don't like your voice, but it's like a 5 foot guy trying to play basketball, what can do you. Good luck, and I hope the harsh words people give you don't make you quit because you're still doing more than they are.

Just compare an old cbear cast to a modern cast, they aren't even the same experience anymore despite production quality getting better.

You and Yimi have been the primary NA casters this season.

Yimi has trouble putting his thoughts into words and communicating efficiently (as indicated by his frequent pausing and stuttering); because of this, there have been many occasions where you elected to speak for him or simply cut him off to resume play-by-play casting.

Aside from resulting in obvious mechanical issues, this leaves the viewers with a dearth of analysis, a problem that is only exacerbated both by the relative lack of in-game experience for the casters and by the overall lower skill level of the Invite division in recent seasons.

There have been a couple of occasions where Invite players have simultaneously casted or reviewed matches alongside the TFTV cast, and their content is almost always more informative (despite typically involving less man-power) because these players are more able to predict and explain scenarios. Personally, there are some old demo reviews that have taught and continue to teach me valuable information about the game, but these recent NA casts have only really been able to teach me about the players in the server.

I really think Marxist will be able to fill that void. I really liked the rotating Invite casters as well. Truktruk, you're good at facilitating play by play, but you need someone like Slin, Deathy, Marxist, etc. as an analyst. I think that mentality with casting partners would be good.

Take some voice classes. Your voice comes straight from the back of your throat and is incredibly high pitched for an adult male. It is not pleasant. Ask getawhale he sounds like he's taken classes.

That's not constructive criticism, nor does it have much to do with truktruk's actual casting. If you don't like his voice that's fine, but it has very little to do with the quality of his casting.

I feel like our NA scene lacks analytical casters as well.

I don't want or need 2 casters telling me WHAT people are doing, I want one to tell me what is happening and I want one to tell me WHY it's happening.

If you provide context or logic to why players are doing what they're doing it would make the game a lot easier for people to digest. I know pretty much ALL of our NA casters are capable of this because they themselves have competed at a high level in some form/

There is an unobjectivly better voice for broadcast. That's why there are literally broadcast voice classes.

Look at any news anchor, any radio host, anyone who makes a career out of their voice. None of them have a nasally high pitched voice. Most of them have taken broadcast speaking classes.

its stupid but what he's saying is still pretty fair criticism

I don't think focusing on speaking ability is a big deal for anyone rn but its not like its not something that's important

Valve has made some serious mistakes with the recent updates, but they are committed to fixing them and I'm still optimistic about the outcome in the long run.

idk seems like there's a lot of justified anger in the forums but I think it'll work out in the end
