There's already been a post going into his approach to women on the ugc forums...

a post of mine, copied and pasted here for discussion purposes, as well as in case it gets removed:

mustardoverlord;64095because this is the league suggestions board, here's a series of actual CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM for the admins, so as to legitimately improve the league:

1. admins need to stop wearing so many hats. league admins, forum admins, AND ANTI-CHEAT ADMINS should all be ENTIRELY separate, and head admins, while overseeing all 3, should actively participate in AT MOST the league functions, not the forum OR anti-cheat functions. all of this creates massive conflicts of interest all the time, as well as ambiguity for who is to blame when, say, a thread gets deleted.

2. more transparency. please start by: a. making it publically available who locked/deleted any given thread; b. revealing all the members of the ugc anti-cheat team, if not their actual evidence; c. not locking/deleting relevant threads in the first place.

3. more diversity in admin experience. so many of the admins are from the same group of people who have been running ugc since the beginning. for a community league of this size, that's simply unacceptable. bring in people from different backgrounds who aren't predisposed to agree with the pre-existing admins.

4. release some sort of statement on the marisa incident. when etf2l found that their ban of beavern was on shaky grounds and that their anti-cheat admin team was full of people who weren't super qualified to be there, as well as kind of hivemind-ish, they replaced the entire ac team and released a statement apologizing to beavern and condemning the old team.

5. for christ sakes, if you want people to be satisfied with your decisions, stop making offhand remarks that do exactly the opposite of your goal. it's exactly the same as how, while admins were discussing how their new maplist and map choosing system would be so much better than this season's, they continued to passive aggressively defend the very maps they were assuring the community they would replace ("haunt is a great map and you just don't UNDERSTAND it!"). in the same way, while all the admins here keep saying they cannot make a decision because fornaught is away, they also keep hinting that moose will just voluntarily take time off or that he can explain his way out of a ban. just say something like "by default, we will ban anyone with a vac ban unless the ban is reversed or we have concrete proof the ban was a mistake. however, we are waiting on fornaught to finalize the ban"

...or is that not accurate, because it's completely discretionary, and you have no plans to ban moose?

6. treat admins like everyone else. even beyond the punishment for moose, it's very apparent that threads/posts have been deleted because they hurt an admin's feelings. I've never seen that happen for others, especially when the admin him or herself was the one who said it.

7. infinite needs to formally apologize to marisa for his blatant transphobia, which violates league and forum guidelines

8. please don't start talking about "armchair admins" in a thread in the league suggestions forum, where being an "armchair admin" is, well, the point

I look forward to seeing these changes enacted swiftly, and to great popular support, just like all of my other ideas that ugc ended up backing (e.g. removing the invite limit)

...and just when you think UCG cant possibly look even worse

they do shit like this.

edit: downfrags? if any other player was VAC banned, what would have happened is that the player would have been banned when it happened, and reinstated ASAP if the VAC ban was overturned.

because he is an admin they are "letting him step away" and trying to decide what to do.

wills in the UCG post:

I can't comment on the Marisa thing, but as far as this goes, even if it is found that his VAC-ban is legit, as long as there's no evidence of him using it in matches then I don't see why he would need to be banned. What he does in a pub is his business.I don't see why Moose should get banned as long as his "cheating" didn't occur during official matches.

So far Moose's post VAC actions have been impeccable; stepping down from both his team position and admin position immediately. We really are just going to have to hurry up and wait on this one.

Just as nobody on NBK got banned for their actions outside of league play, I don't see why Moose should get banned as long as his "cheating" didn't occur during official matches.

I think Wills has a little wheel he spins before he posts that selects a role for him to take: naive idiot, passive-aggressive martyr or thirsty lickspittle. I seriously get some intense fremdschämen when I read his posts.

From the infinite post: http://www.ugcleague.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6438

5. Then the thread gets closed/deleted. I was unaware of this since I saw the thread still visible as "closed".. which was different than "locked". To make a long story short, I checked the logs and it was Moose. This is extremely disappointing to me, as well as the other UGC admins. It was probably the worst thing he could have done. Moose abused his admin privileges and thus, his forum admin privileges and league access has been removed.

Yikes.

To be honest, I still have a hard time believing moose is or was hacking.

So yea, just felt I should throw that out there.

if you get VAC banned, you were doing or running something deemed illegal

if it was a false negative, it's pretty incredible that moose is seemingly the only reported case.

i got vac banned on accident before. it took them <24 hours to fix it, because valve are pretty good about that sort of thing. it didn't require me to file some sort of grand appeal to valve because i didn't actually use a hack. i'm pretty sure moose would have been unbanned by now if there were some misunderstanding or mistake

yup. just like i talked about it's the same pattern every time:

1. hacker in question stops posting
2. idiot friend who nobody likes who is a frequent poster on UGC forums has to come over to TF.TV to post because all of the UGC threads get locked/deleted
3. UGC gives admin special treatment because they can and everyone can agree that the admins have no idea what they're doing (in general)
4. 8+ page hackusation thread that ultimately gets confirmed despite all counter arguments

m4risaIf I was VAC banned, I would have probably been suspended for multiple seasons and my team would have been disqualified from playoffs.

Great league.

Actually, this part is interesting. UGC has made it seem that using a hacker means your entire team gets punished. Will they do that in this case? Should that happen if the rest of +fwd didn't know? (seems kind of stupid to punish a team for one person imo, but it seems to be the typical thing to do in leagues these days). This is going to have MAJOR implications for how UGC deals with hackers down the line...I really hope they tread carefully.

also, just a reminder: http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/6936/1#post-98077

I know you won't care what I say, but let me explain what I know:

The only thing I've ever installed besides vanilla TF2 was OpenPlugin, and that was back in March to test it and make sure that it wasn't a wallhack (and something that UGC ought to be concerned with). I didn't use it in normal/match play, and the way you guys are talking is making it seem as though Valve is okay with the plugin. I'm just as confused as anyone else here is.

I've been working as closely as I can with Valve to get this reversed, but they are still unwilling to give me any information as to the grounds of my ban, so I can't really figure out what to do now. I've heard through the grapevine that I'm not the only community admin that was VAC banned this last batch (one of the head admins of one of the game's largest pub communities also got the banhammer last week). Hopefully this is something that I can hopefully figure out and get reversed, but Valve doesn't seem willing to budge and apparently they don't even consider reversals.

---

Rest assured I'm upset enough about this incident that unless I can get this reversed I'll probably be taking a break from TF2 for a while.

Here's hoping UGC as a league becomes more consistent and this DOES set some precedent for how VAC bans affect the league.

I thought it seemed sort of clear that it wasn't open plugin that got him banned, since no one in etf2l has been banned either.

Quote from tryhard

moose did use open plugin on multiple occasions if that was what the ban was about

He was on the etf2l team I led, used it in matches, and talked about how he loved the increased FOV quite a bit

he wouldn't use it in UGC, but yeah, he did use it on multiple occasions

Still think he's a cool guy, but he made a mistake and it looks like he'll have to pay for it
