Personally, I don't think Moose was hacking only because I know him. But the man already gave his explanation to let people think for themselves. Honestly? VAC ban indicates the EXTREME likelihood of hacking. It can be a mistake, but very rarely. I do not at all blame people for believing he hacked, as doing so would be retarded.

Here's the counter-point: expecting him to have actually been banned for openplugin is gullible at least and ignorant at most. There is no cascade of other players posting that they have recently been VACd as well for the plugin and given its prevalence in europe it is improbable that moose is the sole person being banned by VAC as some sort of bellwether to the TF2 community that the plugin won't be tolerated. It is fact that it is much more likely that he used one of the many hacks that are now being banned in droves by VAC as several people in this thread have already pointed out. VAC is an automated system and moose is not even a high profile player by any means, just because you look up to him in UGC gold from your UGC gutter trash division does not actually mean he's good at this game or actually high profile. Just because "he's an admin, he wouldn't do that" and other appeals to authority make sense in your chromosome flooded bog that some might refer to as a mind does not mean that isn't actually a logical fallacy nonetheless.

If you want to continue believing his paper thin excuse in the face of what is objective reality, you're welcome to do so. However, do not continue acting like there is any logical validity to it or that you are anything other than gullible.

While I don't agree with the name calling, it's easy to see that everyone has gotten frustrated with him because despite their clear arguments against what he is saying (i.e. he DID get vac banned, so he probably cheated, etc.), he has reiterated the same argument, "Oh, but he's a nice guy and important in the community. He'd NEVER cheat because of that", and not say anything to contradict the opposing arguments.
