Absolutely. I knew I had to be on air right after they did the whole doc premiere, and I had just been downstairs shedding mad tears to the whole thing, especially the TOTH part. This movie will break you down, but in a good way.

Watched multiple cuts of this and watched the video recording several times, and will be rewatching again.
The hardest thing to do at lan was to try not to cry (I failed) but the best feeling was when I grabbed Uberchain in a big hug when the credits rolled and a bunch of people started piling on to this big group hug and I was like fuck yeah I love these guys.

I personally really liked it. I had the rare privilege of watching it live. Thou i think it could have been improved in a few areas. Perhaps that opening shot should have been replaced with OW and Seagull, to give the Doc more of a narrative something like "He might be successful now, but his roots are in a much more modest game". I feel like it should have gone into more detail with the efforts people have made to make the Devs more vocal (like actually mentioning what was in the letter they sent), Ect. Overall, i do feel like it was something special, especially with RedEye chiming in. I'd give it a solid 7/10.

This is nice and all but i feel like it would have been better to make a doc similar to the Smash Brothers documentary really celebrating the game and creating storylines so the viewer really feels connected to the scene. This type of doc isnt really beneficial to the scene the way the Smash Brothers doc was for melee.

I just finished watching the documentary, and I was quite moved. It brought back a lot of memories.
I have a tremendous amount of respect for these driving forces of the scene. I was happy to see several of them, such as Salamancer and Sideshow, receiving so much well-earned credit. There are many other people as well, from before these guys had even joined the scene, who deserve equal praise.
And that is why competitive TF2 is still around today: because you manage to inspire generation upon generation of player to get involved and continue driving the community. Back in 2010, I was inspired and welcomed to make my own contributions, and although I and my peers may be forgotten, our efforts live on through the people that followed, and are driving the community today. That is very rewarding to see, and I hope that it continues for years to come. What this documentary shows me, is that even if you do not manage to push TF2 to success as a product, the effort itself is pushing you to succeed as individuals - and that holds more value. So keep it going.

Its because of this game and you people that so many good things have come my way and even if I'm overall a negative influence on the community I want you all to know how much this group of nerds means to me. just got around to watching this now, it's really well edited and produced. makes me very glad i came across this game and eventually the competitive community, and very proud of everyone involved in the comp community. huge props to everyone involved in the making of this documentary, couldn't have been done better imo
