Used a TV stand a couple years ago. I would have to sit on the ground, keyboard in my lap, and look up at my monitor while I played

My setup is still absolute trash due to my Dell Inspiron 580 pc with literally the oldest i3 there is and integrated graphics, but my peripherals have gotten semi better.

My setup in its worst stage was one of those small dell mice where you were forced to claw grip it, no mousepad, small hd tv with like a 10ms response time & 60hz (of course). Desk was actually decent as I still use it today, it has a pull out droor (barely big enough to fit keyboard and mouse), but is manageable. Also had your standard dell keyboard, and still have it today

edit: my WORST OF ALL TIME setup was a laptop that could hardly even watch one youtube video without lagging, let alone make tf2 playable, had that small dell mouse with this too

half a laptop
wireless keyboard that lost connection constantly
60hz laggy "hd tv"
broken headset used only for microphone
five dollar headphones for audio

it wasn't so bad, just frustrating sometimes
here's some of it

My dad broke my computer screen, so I moved my shitty dell laptop to the living room and plugged it into the tv, the I got my broke razer ouroborous, and put it and the laptop on the coffee table, and I did half a season like that, the worst part about it was whenever you tried to flick the whole table would shake

i think from 2010 to around 2013 i was playing with a dell ball mouse, a small hard dell mouse pad which ended up breaking slowly, a 4:3 dell monitor and a pc that hit 80 fps on tf2 and blew up after i started playing swtor

Well I've always had some form of desk so that wasn't bad.

Used to have 60hz monitor , wireless mouse, stock keyboard with a low quality PC which is now worth around $100 or less if I were to rebuild it and sell it.

My laptop screen broke so i had to connect my laptop to a tv that could only be mounted on a wall and it was 3 ft taller than me. Had that for like 2 years or so until i finally got a new computer.

>shitty inspiron laptop w/ iGPU and celeron processor, 4GB of memory, tf2 ran at like 40 frames b/c i was too young/stupid for configs and lower than native resolution
>using my bedsheet as the mousepad for dell stock optical mouse (Dell M0C5U0)

laptop with a somewhat broken space key which got too hot and was loud as fuck with a 10 bucks logitech mouse. Sometimes I had to play on my bed with the laptop on my knees and a book as a mousepad since the WLAN-signal didn't always made it to my desk

played on a circular portion of a table with 2 ancient 4:3 monitors, had to play with my keyboard in my lap the mouse was a ball mouse. Both of them were wireless. Also there was a point during my first year in college where I had to play on a folder with a cheap usb laser mouse since the pad wasn't tracking well enough and the mouse sensor was failing

When I first started playing 6s I played with a Toshiba laptop that averaged 30-40 frames sitting on a couch. I had a desk in a dorm before I actually played any matches but I rotated between a kensington wireless mouse (interestingly, the exact same one in this post:)

and a $15 logitech one before graduating to a deathadder before playoffs at the end of the season.

Anyone who played with me during this time knows I was notoriously bad, pulling off feats such as going negative in a 6v5 game.
