Basically I have gotten a new pc (A10 7700k cpu with the intergrated r7 gpu) from benchmarks i should be getting over 70fps on high, yet I am barely 30fps on low and since cfg don't work anymore I don't know what to do :(

m0re high config :> best thing i've used. yeah its outdated sorta but out of all the other configs i used, this works the best. i have a crappy pc and it runs well with m0re, plus all the settings low.
(144 fps - 90 fps.

flame made a thread where he said if you have a fairly nice pc then you might possibly get more fps without a pc and higher graphics settings.

TF2 is NOT a "single core" game but it is heavily reliant on single-threaded performance, yes.

CitroMaindTsunami (A10 7700k cpu with the intergrated r7 gpu) this is your problem

considering TF2 came out when the intel core duo was "high end", this shouldn't be an issue.

it boggles my mind that hardware times better than the best that was available at TF2 release isn't able to run it decently nowadays

gee i wonder if the game received updates that made it more demanding???

yeah, i was exaggerating. stuff like jigglebones/ropes can be threaded out but still there's a single CPU thread which does most of the work and is the bottleneck 99% of the time
