Apparently there was actually no shooting at the hospital, but it was locked down as a safety measure.

Police briefing in a couple minutes.

Pulse is a gay bar apparently. I wonder if that had anything to do with the motive behind this.

Most of such terrorism has to do with islam. It's the most likely possibility.

Most doesn't mean all. Theres plenty of unstable people in the US alone who could have done such a thing. Religion doesnt always have to be a factor in stuff like this.

Whatever, I hope you aren't going to keep denying it when it it will be known that ISIS was behind it or something.

The majority of individuals who perpetrate mass shootings in the United States aren't Islamic extremists. This doesn't fit the profile of an attack motivated by radical Islam at all.

You have absolutely no evidence that that was the motivation of an attack, so all you're doing currently is using a tragedy to push a political agenda.

If I'm wrong then I'm wrong. I'm just saying that there is no need to jump on the "It was (blank) religion again!!" bandwagon when we know nothing.

Regardless of the motives behind this specific horrific event, if you're talking about US domestic terrorism, then no (unless you are really creative with picking your data). And there's no "whatever", facts are just facts.

Title of the bbc article- "Florida Pulse gay club attacked in Orlando - at least 20 dead"

Something tells me this is a hate crime. The shooter is probably a religious redneck sort of guy who can't accept the fact that people are different

Well you see the thing about all the non-occurring mass shootings in Western Europe is that it's difficult to point to examples...

Belgium and France have strict gun laws, did that stop anyone?

"Data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control show that on an average day, 91 Americans are killed with guns."

"There are nearly 12,000 gun murders a year in the U.S. – and despite falling crime rates, that number has barely changed since the late 1990s."

"America’s gun murder rate is more than 25 times the average of other developed countries."
