I was originally told that people get really good routing to Atlanta so that is why we tried it out. Over the last week and a bit, the Atlanta server (plus nfo in general at that location) was under a few ddos attacks so that is why there has been a few very laggy games at night.

As I understand, pugchamp wants to have their own whitelist and config which is not related to a league config/whitelist

pugchamp is using timelimit 30, winlimit 5 and windifference 2

while the whitelist can be found here: http://whitelist.tf/pugchamp

We do plan to have another look at our ruleset soon, but that's been delayed due to all of the issues that have been happening with the website, which are the highest priority for us as you might imagine.

Oh yeah you should definitely remove the winlimit difference and add an option to extend the time if the pug is tied (by having a vote pop up at like ~1 minute left if it's still tied)

I can assure you many people complain about not having this option and also complain about the winlimit that is only for 5-4 games. It's kind of just unnecessary for pugs.

We are not planning to add any sort of votes in the in the near future due to a whole mess of problems that would result. The adjustments that we're considering right now are between removing windiff or increasing windiff to 3, with the latter admittedly fitting more with the reason we added the windiffs in the first place.

Nothing's been decided yet as the focus is to get all of the services stable.

It doesn't need to be anything fancy. Instead of the vote being automatically asked at a certain time, it can just be something that people type in chat, similar to the rtv function: if a certain amount of people type it, it'll extend the time. What particular issues would this cause?

Extending the time seems problematic. I'm guessing that you mean adding a few minutes to the clock and then ending the game when last is capped or the extra time runs out. If this were the case, teams wouldn't feel pressure to actually push and win within the time limit. This would tie up the servers longer. The votes themselves would be pointless in equal Über stalemates; the attacking team would always vote to extend while the defending team would always vote not to.
Maybe a golden round after a tie would be more effective. Teams would still be inclined to break stalemates during normal time using whatever advantage they have, so that they don't lose that advantage by going into a new round. Also, a decisive midfight could determine the game quickly in order to clear the server.

Whenever I close the site after a pug I'm captaining has launched and I open the site again to sub someone, the sub menu never shows up for me and if there's no admin around it means we end up playing 5v6.

Keeping the site open during the game isn't really an option since I get massive fps drops whenever theres a draft going on in the background.

We have added donation and sponsor icons for players in the chat. I will be contacting people that have donated and asking if you would like an icon as I understand some people want to remain anonymous. Thanks again to those that have helped us out with our hosting costs.

The issue appears to be fixed now. Let me know if you're still experiencing it - from what I can tell it was a backend website issue and not related to your browser configuration.

What's the point of denying players with VAC ban(s) anyway? If it's a Tf2 VAC then he/she wouldnt be able to play anyway, if it's from the other non-source game, then it doesnt matter. Unless you of course want to prevent people who have Tf2 VAC ban to join Pugs just to troll and not make their way to the server, but even then you should see if its going to be an issue or not.

VAC bans were always meant to trigger automatic bans from the website, but the mechanism for actually doing so had been broken by an update to the authorization system a while back. Cheating of any kind should not be tolerated; thus, in all but a a very small cases, if you have been caught cheating by VAC you will not be allowed to play on PugChamp.

That being said, certain players with VAC bans can be allowed to play by admin discretion. If you do have a VAC ban and believe you should be allowed to play, contact a regional admin with your reasoning. If they are convinced, you can be manually whitelisted to bypass the automatic VAC check and thus be allowed to play - we have already done this in the past for one player and have just done this for a few others.

imo only restriction should be etf2l bans because it doesn't stop people like nightterror and torr1t from playing pugs.
