Rocket league should be awesome. I really enjoy watching the pros play that game it is really exciting.

I wonder if the dude "kronovi" still plays actively and if he will be there. He does some shit in Rocket league that seems impossible. I think he was, at one point, the best player in the world. Watch some of his Match videos on youtube, they have a bunch of 3v3 and 2v2 posted.

It's just fairness in Overwatch regards. If they have to use beta images for ow the must do it for tf too! Kappa

We all know the top TF2 players in the world main Spy.

Can the remainder of the promotional images TFtv makes for i58 feature poses from conga and mannrobics?

Looks like they just did a quick google search for the images they're using. Kind of lazy, but can't really blame them if they don't know anything about TF2 or 6s.

It would be nice to have an online resource or ZIP file of more appropriate, competitively-oriented promo images that could be sent to website staff when they are advertising a comp TF2 event. Or maybe something like that already exists? Haven't really looked.

To be fair to multiplay, it looks like they did that for each game (the only image I can't find quickly in a search is league's), so I don't think it's any particular ignorance about tf2.

Getting some good resources for things like this sounds like a great idea though. The talent in this community is too good for generic beta screenshots to be used :/

Oh, yeah, of course. Didn't mean to imply that it's only TF2 that gets that kind of treatment. I'm sure it's a common issue.

someone should make a post on /r/tf2 or something getting a small community drive for competitive or "serious" looking thumbnails and promo images going. A lot of SFM wizards are over there but don't come here.

nykIs there an asian superteam? I don't know the first thing about asiaFortress, but I'm interested in finding out if they do make an appearance

As far as I know, many asian players that were planning on going to i58 (creep, kusoyotech members) have retired from tf2 to play Overwatch. There is a slim chance of them going to i58, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

In my opinion they'd be making a huge mistake to stop playing right before i58. They should see whether they can compete with the best before they disappear into an inferior game forever.

Going to settle the score since there's quite some misinformation going on.

At the start when dashner hinted on Twitter at Asians at i58 everyone who was going to go was confident in going and wanting to play. The lineup was Teejay + koreans which were creep shockey larky flower and fireze or something along the lines of that. There were going to be some shuffling because of age which might cause visa issues, but basically that was the lineup.

Somewhere along the overwatch beta the koreans got into the beta, and have basically switched to it. But they still played tf2. This wasn't an issue until...

The koreans minus creep attended a LAN for overwatch and now lost all motivation to keep playing as overwatch is a better prospect for them. Creep & Teejay talked to them about it but without Larky and the other koreans its basically impossible to form a team that's competitive and doesn't throw money away while making Asia look like a joke.

that's the saddest reason possible for why Asia isn't sending a team. why couldn't it be transportation or visa issues... :(

If one LAN took away the interest of players maybe we're underestimating OW's potential to take away our players.
