Sheoriricky815remove the -dxlevel 81 for better stability with ALT+Tabbing <------this one when do i do that?after launching the game every time?
After you launch the game once with dxlevel 81, it puts the game into dx8, so you don't need to re add it whenever you launch.

So no, just do it once, launch, then remove it.

installing this significantly lowered my fps and the only thing i changed was rawinput to 1.

from the timedemo benchmark1:
2639 frames 18.215 seconds 144.88 fps ( 6.90 ms/f) 15.221 fps variability - no graphics config
2639 frames 25.647 seconds 102.90 fps ( 9.72 ms/f) 11.273 fps variability - config for high quality pcs

what to do?

edit: same thing is happening now with csgo

it fixed itself for a couple hours last night, but the same problem has returned.

restarted steam
restarted computer
verified cache
updated video drivers

reinstalled tf2

I can't see my own bullets when i shoot (scatter/shotgun/pistol etc) and it feels pretty disgusting, happens only with this cfg.

I got the max fps for mid quality PC's, and I'm in -dxlevel 80. For some reason on one of my hats, the otolaryngologist's mirror, instead of it being shiny, there's a weird fire texture. Is there any way that I can fix this? (Other than going in -dxlevel 90, my computer can't handle that)

you can just put them in the cfg folder, make sure you save the file type as .cfg tho

So when i load up tf2 all settings are set to low but the model detail is on medium, how can i make it so this is on low aswell? Because if i set it to low and load up tf2 again it goes back to medium.

Edit: Lol i had facial features enabled. disabled them and now low model detail

I guess i could also ask is Tri-linear the best filtering mode to go with? If not how can i edit this to bilinear?

I'm pretty sure that r_lod 1 will set model detail to medium no matter what your other settings are, but facial features won't work if r_lod is set to 0.

That is the normal colour, genuine items appear as green in your backpack. You can find the quality colour for genuine in clientscheme and make it the same as the unique ones though.
