listen to podcasts
there's ones that are educational, news-related, or just related to any topic that you're interested in
it's basically like someone reading a book to you or telling you a story

IF you aren't allowed to listen to music while you work (or ever you can't), try imagining your favorite songs sang by a completely different singer/band. it's what i used to do during long car rides before i could afford an mp3 player (dark times) and when i used to work as a receptionist and it was against policy to have headphones. i don't remember how hard it was in the beginning trying to do this tbh. idk, try it out when you're not at work and see how u like it. it's a good brain exercise.

I personally love daydreaming and imaging entirely different worlds to live in. Go wherever your imagination takes you

just to repeat what everyone else said: audiobooks and podcasts, both educational (a new language maybe?) or just fun to listen to

May sound super fucking keen, but figure out ways in which your job can be done more efficient, or how the layout of work could be, that way your time is being used effectively and your bosses will see you as a hard worker etc

I remember my work experience in a warehouse. Was fairly tedious, I spent every couple of hours looking forward to my break and the hot chocolate. Best 20p I ever spent.

Podcasts/Radio/Music on your phone, download a load, find a load interesting and learn, seems like the best suggestion.

If you're working on a line with people, converse as well, s'always fun.

I worked in a factory for 4 1/2 years through college. Here were a few of my tricks (many of them have already been mentioned).

1. Sing songs you know, either aloud or in your head. You'll have some pop into your head randomly, because your brain will be very bored, so just let it happen lol.
2. any sort of memory task - I used to try and recall the birth and death dates of various historical figures within a certain category, ie, the kings of France.
3. Talk to people, if you can talk to people, hope they're not an anti-social loon, and talk to them - it will make time go much faster.

Once you get settled though, it will go a lot faster than you'd imagine - it has its own sort of rhythm to it and once you get into said rhythm time will pass quickly enough.

Also, I would strongly advise you, if possible, to completely blow your first pay check on something stupid - remembering how good that feels is a good self-motivator to not wuss out and do something more "kid" friendly so to speak.

How could someone do it in his head? You need a lot of processing power and data storage.. Unless you just want to drop random bombs lol.

Turincherry how do you think they did that kinda stuff in wwii?

I'm pretty sure there was a lot of people and paper involved :P
Though in some cases the order was simple, burn the ground and only leave out navigation points, THAT was simple to plan :D

when i worked at supermarkets in the back i would have one earbud running up to my ear and listen to audio readings of books. if you want a good suggestion for a starter book that's long, I would encourage you to read Steven Kings, It. I still do this for just about anything, even when i'm at my desk. Im currently listening to this while playing mge and dm for long times
