"Minigun: Winding up via secondary attack now counts toward reducing the one-second accuracy penalty"

So basically, stay spun up in the same spot, and the nerf wont affect you.

~engaging gameplay~

the nerf's intention was to prevent heavies doing the jump spin to chase people down. that makes it so it doesn't punish heavies who don't constantly shoot at the wall to keep their accuracy up

The way it is worded implies your damage is still affected.

Are we seriously not going to comment on Maps Beta? (other than just mentioning the new map)
This is how you get more Granlands people, show a little more enthusiasm.

Air_the nerf's intention was to prevent heavies doing the jump spin to chase people down.

So a nerf to aggressive play, making sure to leave boring, defensive play untouched.

heavies are not meant to play aggressively, other than engie they're like the premier defensive class in tf2

that they could chase you down and jump spin a billion damage into your back was probably not a good thing

the heavy needs a downside, it already destroys pubs and is central to highlander.

Sure, so they buffed the most boring, and easy playstyle of the heavy.

They didn't fix old demos :( http://teamfortress.tv/thread/18626/rocket-launcher-scattergun-invisible-in-3rd-person

Something tells me they never will... Extremely disappointing.

The new gamemode is mirrored where both teams try to kill enemy robots (with a control-point unlock style order). After you kill all three stages of robots it resets a timer to spawn more. The robots drop something which adds to your score. You play to a certain score (something like 300).

Hud and stuff (also crown):

Robots pop into dispensers (also the things they drop):

Hey, let's be fair: the charge meters are like 20 pixels across and in the far corner of the screen.

Are they seriously trying to turn tf2 into smite now?

The heavy rework is better now but I still see no reason for the original nerf. Heavy was fine as it was

KanecoAre they seriously trying to turn tf2 into smite now?

What do you mean? There are no towers, no shop(although a mashup of this and the Upgrade Station from mvm would be neat), and no creeps attacking the other base.

Watching duwatna's stream makes me think Robot Destruction would be a pretty cool 6's gamemode from both a player and spectator pov. Has anyone played enough on it to comment on what would and wouldn't work well in that setting? I could imagine it devolving into engie intel camping and sniper wars on the 2Fort section, but the new depth of strategy seems like it'd be a nice new teamwork over raw DM map.

I was just making an assumption under what nixnyte said which was that the new map was a moba style map.

The gamemode itself would work as well as CTF, all of CTFs flaws included. The intel takes forever to reset for how important it is in this mode.

The map itself I think is awful. It's a mess of corridors that don't make for a fun fighting arena. There are some more open areas, but a large part of it is corridors wide enough for 3 people only. That said, it's probably okay if you like cp_steel.

I don't think the map itself would work very well for 6s, but another(smaller) map in the same gamemode might work well for some type of competitive mode.
