i cant overstate how hard this game goes, i sunk like 60 hours into the last beta and i havent had this much fun with a modern fps since the release of the original titanfall

the beta was really fun but right now atleast currently for me every lobby is glytched and empty or lagging to the point of unplayability so hopefully ill just wait a few days and itll be fun again

i had to do a few things to get the party functionality to work & to be able to queue into games in the first place, and that included updating my embark tag (https://id.embark.games/id/profile) & enabling crossplay. i have a feeling that crossplay-enabled servers run better than pc only ones -- i played about 16 hours without empty servers or lag -- so i'm curious if that alone fixes your problems, since i don't think crossplay is enabled by default if you played the betas & didn't delete your old config file.

thankfully I think it was just basic launch hiccups, because I played yesterday and it felt great so thats nice. It is a really fun game for anyone reading i recommend trying it out,

its a fun concept and im glad to see someone try to innovate on the endless churn of dogshit, uninspired FPS games, but the gunplay just isnt very satisfying

maybe this is a sound design thing, maybe its a balancing thing, idk

but the game has insane potential

def needs some tweaks with the balancing. everyone ive played with thinks light is over tuned (dashes, cloak, stun, and damage output are all unreal) but apparently on reddit they think light needs buffs lol

fun game tho will prob sink a good amount of time into it

i have like an unplayable mouse issue that only happens in the finals. every like 30 sec i have like an insane input lag (feels like low FPS but im getting 130+ frames) coming from my mouse. tried 3 different mice and still have the issue idk if anyone else is experiencing that.

Very fun game, feels like a mix of Apex and COD, fun twist on battleroyale genre.
Grinded the beta to diamond 1 and will def keep playing.
To stay alive I think they definitely need to keep adding more content. Only 1 extra map from open beta to release feels kinda sad. Needs more gamemodes and gameplay variety to not die in a year.

Light is very strong in solo pubstomp 1v1 play but in coordinated play Heavy and Medium eats, MMH MHH was(is) easy meta.
You can dominate lobbies with light mobility and fast 1v1's but very easy punished by positioning and 1v2 2v3.
Higher HP + Dome shield, RPG, Autoshotty, Defib, Recon and Heal Beam all way too damn good to replace with puny Light character.

All the classes are busted in their own right and it kinda matters more how you play the class than what class you play. Heavy for oneshot dmg in closerange, high hp + shields. Medium for wallhack, insta-revive, mid-range laserbeam. Light for fast objective play and insane 1v1 dmg.

One good glitch nade and light cancels all those abilities. Like you said it matters more how you play the class doesn't feel like there is a defined meta atm. I will say though it feels kinda stupid that light can go invis and 2 tap any build. Imagine if the spy had scout speed and a stronger scattergun.

while i think the concept for the objective is a cool idea (escort object convert to dynamic koth), i think the rules rn aren't very great. rn it encourages teams to build a ton of dive explosion utility to take a point at the last second or around full holding with the highlander setup from hell, neither of which particularly encourage outgunning the other team but just drowning everyone else in util.

rn it doesn't matter who wins the cash box fight, so there's not really a point fighting over it unless you intend to set up a full hold, and it doesn't matter who starts or holds the objective until the very last second.

i'd prefer if each team had their own timer they could get time to count down on when in control of the cashout, and that there was some time bonus incentive to actually being the team to win the cash box fight and start the first cap.

the util (shields, gas, instant revive invuln frames, etc etc etc) is also just insane rn imo and needs tuning to not be so frustrating to deal with. I also don't cc options like glitch grenades are a good bandaid fix to the matter either.

other than all that i've been playing it a ton in both the quickplay and tournament modes since release because the gunplay and frenetic team fights are so much fun, but i don't really see the game lasting particularly long if the ranked tournament mode ends up looking as aids as i imagine it will

also the devs are a nexon subsidiary so i'm rather sus of their future monetization scheme and balance choices
