I enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing!

One thing bothered me though -- if it's just going to be a compilation of clips from the TFTV VoD, why add edgy color correction? It doesn't really seem to fit.

No comments are open to gather feedback on how we can better the experience and if these types of videos are any good to your wonderful community

Should have stated that this video was made as a demo test by our social media manager and his first attempt at making one so was expecting image issues and such

If I'm being honest here I didn't like the video.

  • The video is 10 minutes long for highlights of 2 maps. This is way too long, most of the footage is not interesting to watch. Beater made a video covering the entire Prem playoffs and it was only 3 minutes long.
  • The color correction added to the fact that this is footage taken from a stream and with poor output quality, makes the whole video difficult to watch.
  • The clips are taken from the stream, so you probably missed a few key moments (e.g.: 8:43 streamers scream for a dmoule play that we do not actually see).

You could have shortened the video (and record clips from the entire playoffs since nerdRage played all the games), added a little bit of editing (similar to how some of the Ascent videos (https://www.youtube.com/c/AscentEsports/videos) were made) and recorded the players's POV instead of using clips from the stream that would have been much more enjoyable in my opinion.

If I'm being honest here I didn't like the video.

i think videos with clips with casting (visuals can be stream or demos) can be good but there needs to be a clear narrative and music. here's an example of the kind of video im envisioning: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Wo4oeyynLA

I think it's a great gesture to do this and I encourage you to do it more in the future. It sadly just look like found footage from the 80's. Hope next time you'll get it right ;)

i disagree with almost everything. if youve missed 2 whole maps watching a 10 minute video to summarise it is fine. i didn't watch beaters video but beater makes frag clips which are different from match highlights. this is also just a test video as they've said so why would they record the entire playoffs? i think stream clips are just fine if they're high quality altho pov recordings if smth sick happened off camera would be good

just fix the weird quality and youre probably fine tbh
basically emulate something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9pGXIrAGxA

Off your suggestions, we made a short Valorant video to test a few things. Sorry if that word is toxic here :)

I don't know if the valorant video is taken from a demo file locally recorded by the editor, but the I feel that uploading in 720p in current year is not the move.

The bitrate limit on youtube is so low for 720 that the games just don't look as good, lots of people upload their videos in 1440p for TF2 to have a higher bitrate allowance.
