Main Team Joint Statement #2

The RGL main playoffs teams have been patiently waiting since our last statement for RGL to communicate with us about a verdict for the cheating reports that were sent over two weeks ago. We were also willing to delay playoffs, as was offered to the advanced teams during the elijah situation, so that the AC team would have ample time to investigate yen and sampha and reach a fair verdict. We were threatened with disqualification from this season’s playoffs, forfeiting all prize money and medals, for refusing to play against a proven cheater (banned on UGC) and a highly suspect player. That is a sacrifice we are willing to make in order to uphold the integrity of this season’s playoffs. Admins correctly responded by offering to delay playoffs until Thursday of this week. So, that's what our boycott has achieved so far.

We would have thought that after the elijah situation, where admins failed to ban a blatant cheater for days right before playoffs, league admins would learn to communicate more and hear the concerns of players about likely cheaters in their league. However, nothing has changed: admins were dead silent in our support tickets, instead telling us that we never should have made the evidence public in the first place. You will remember, of course, that the only reason admins were so quick to deal with elijah and delay playoffs is because dippidy posted the evidence publicly.

Because of this continued failure on the part of the league, the playoffs main teams are going ahead with our original plan to boycott RGL’s playoffs and instead play a GGL playoffs (hosted by giblert) as was planned during the elijah fiasco. If, however, RGL renders public verdicts about sampha and yen before the delayed date of 10:30 P.M. on Thursday, we will play in RGL’s playoffs, per our original agreement.

As players who pay to participate in the league season-to-season, we have come up with a few suggestions to prevent something like this from happening a third time.

Public POV demos
The POV demos that are collected by admins should be publicly available on a drive or a section of the RGL website, so that anyone can download and investigate players for themselves. Additionally, players should be able to request POV demos (within reason) from another TL in their division.

Subsequent demo requests after one strike
If a player fails to submit requested POV demos once, we agree that they should be required to submit POV demos for every match for the remainder of the season.

Communication
Without timely communication on the part of RGL admins, we believe the underlying cause of these types of incidents will never be solved. Therefore, we propose that more resources need to be directed towards anticheat. One possible solution that RGL should consider is a reduction in prize money in order to pay for more anticheat. Also, there should be an estimated timeline given regarding anticheat reports. If there are pending reports on players competing in a division’s playoffs, RGL should be more willing to delay playoffs to give the AC team the time it needs, and prioritize the reports of players competing in playoffs.

Without reasonable expectations of blatant cheaters being banned in a timely manner, reported players being investigated within a reasonable amount of time, and communication between admins and team leaders, these problems will only happen again.

Note: Since we wrote this post, one of the suspected players was banned for a failure to submit demos (3rd offense). We don't believe that changes why we are making this joint statement. We plan on discussing how to proceed in light of this ban.

This is a great idea, having worked on a community server anti-cheat team in the past, none of the bans we were able to enforce would've been possible without members of the community adding input and supplying ticks to us. I think that this would be a beneficial route for RGL to take throughout all game modes.

This is stuff I can get behind, they should at bare minimum when it comes to POV demos be on match pages publicly, just like how STV demos are required to be posted in match comms for at least invite teams.

ARCADIA MUST RESIGN, HE IS A TERRIBLE LEAGUE OWNER. HOW MANY ISSUES HAS RGL HAD UNDER HIS WATCH?!

This is why RGL's team numbers continue to dwindle, the continued incompetence of RGL's management makes this league worse and worse every single season.

I don't think it's his fault lol. If he were to overstep his boundaries as an owner and impulsively make decisions on behalf of the admin team then that's a huge overstep of his position. He's not the head of the admin team lmao and nobody wants to be an admin for 6s anymore. We've already ran out the majority of admins who were passionate about even being an admin for the league--being an admin is literally soulsucking and a negative net return. It's even harder to be an AC admin when Valve does jackshit with its own anticheat. So much time you have to put in analyzing demos just to investigate one person when it should've already been handled by the game's AC itself

Okay, maybe letting it all fall on Arcadia was wrong to say. I think it also falls on who made the decision to bring on the current team of admins who continue to make bad decisions and miscommunicate with everyone about their decisions. The amount of threads that have had to be made about some issue since Arcadia took over is insane. Especially the one that made the most dedicated admins resign when he first took over. Threads like these shouldn't have to exist and it all will fall onto the primary leadership of RGL because he's the one who is making the big decisions.

This is more apathetic than it is "Chad" in my eyes. I realize it's just a joke, but it shouldn't distract from how incompetent arcadia is. I have a good memory of when I asked arcadia about what the situation was with then recently-caught cheaters like cukei and cray, and I gave him the relevant videos in case he hadn't seen them:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-i7-8EutUE
https://youtu.be/RHD7JLnAsA8?si=zKkN1IKgeifjq_sR&t=284

Instead of being given important information, like if they would be banned or whether RGL thought this evidence was insufficient, I was given a snarky response about how it's my responsibility to go through the ticket system. I decided not to go through the ticket system. I thought it was more important to see if the head admin would stick to unimportant principles like these even to the detriment of the league. Cukei, safrix, cray, and della's furry friend have yet to be banned despite all of the work being done by others. It is very likely that other invite players are cheating, but proving it is a wasted effort if the very blatant cases aren't even given the time of day.

brodyif they hadnt put out an official statement about the admin teams decision why did u think u would get an answer in a dm to the owner? what did u expect to happen?

It's not so much about getting an "answer" as it was voicing my frustration at this whole thing. I asked him whether he cared about cheaters in his league and all he could muster was to tell me to "talk to my team leader," as if I hadn't already done that. And then he told me to "have fun!" with organizing a private playoffs for other main playoffs teams.

I really think he's indifferent about cheating in his league; nothing changed after elijah, and after this is finished, nothing will change again. And cukei and cepi (della's ex-friend) still haven't been banned even though I submitted a ticket a long time ago. You can frame that as me screaming and him being chad or whatever, but what I see is total indifference; he has no desire to change, in any way, the way the league is run. And no public statement will change that for me (even though he probably won't make one). I'll believe that change will happen when I see it happen. If being sarcastic is how arcadia chose to respond to genuine concern and frustration about a serious issue in DMs, it makes me wonder how likely our (or anyone's) concerns are to be addressed internally.

Jw And cukei and cepi (della's ex-friend) still haven't been banned even though I submitted a ticket a long time ago.

Wait so did you write a report on the RGL site? Or did you make a ticket and say "this player is sus" including or excluding evidence etc? It might've not received priority or be taken as a case without a formalized report from the site.

I just don’t know how someone can’t make a better alternative than rgl.

Oh right when some people tried to invite teams refused to play because b4nny is married to rgl.

JwIf, however, RGL renders public verdicts about sampha and yen before the delayed date of 10:30 P.M. on Thursday, we will play in RGL’s playoffs, per our original agreement.

"Public verdict" This is basically just votekicking the top scorer because your team isn't winning.

A few shitty main players encounter a scout with above average logs and lose their shit. They even post a youtube video about how not suspicious he plays
