#6 RGL Sixes Season 19 Announcements and Updates in TF2 General Discussion

plinko being the head admin of 6s is a great change. plinko truly cares about the scene and i think many will come to appreciate him in the head admin role and he's one of the more reasonable and community facing admins from that of the past. Excited to see what comes next

#16 TF2 Competitive Lore Videos in Videos
siyoWouldn't mind releasing it whether or not this video is fully released. It mostly covers S11/i46/S12 to whatever degree he knew to his best memory. But it was different in that rather it being a live interview, I sent a bunch of questions (at the time Blizzard had shut down OWL, which he was working for) and he answered whatever he knew best from the list of questions I sent in video format

Progress is slow in the video but I'm hoping we can finish it at some point. The project isn't dead but Denver really halted momentum on the project. Trying to pickup the pieces though and get it jumpstarted again

Update on this: We are putting the finishing touches on Part 1 of 3 (Part 3 is kinda half a part tbh). Hoping to upload within the next month.

would you say your PIM is attempting to be similar to that of counter strike's HLTV rating or vlr.gg's valorant player rating?

#15 RGL HL S22. Massive Changes, No Player Feedback. in TF2 General Discussion

the advanced-1 and advanced-2 is a bit puzzling. doesn't look like there was a far and above team in any of the divs outside of invite (maybe could argue for nonagon infinity but looking at the games they had on paper, they were beatable in some cases) to make a case for adv-1 and adv-2.

div sizes seemed fine too so not sure how that argument justifies adv-1 and adv-2 in the article. if your issue is div size relative to skill level there's a better solution than this, because i'd argue that this creates a further skill gap even if main in essence is the new intermediate

btw why are we removing upward for steel. it's now 2 pl, 2 a/d, 3 koth. is there something wrong with borneo that makes people not want to play that map

#2 Promod Discussion #728: Spinning our Wheels in TF2 General Discussion

antlers i need producers to cover 6s playoffs alongside me and this is what you’ve been doing

on a serious note i do agree with you, though a lot of the community is all talk and no walk. but i don't think it's all doom and gloom as u make it out to be. Personally tho seeing people come together and try to do stuff like what we did at denver, what 4v4 pass time are doing to enhance their unique take on the game mode, and what the mge.tf crew did for their little mge tournament gives me hope that there is people willing to try to see through w their ambitions. i think we're in a way better spot than we were 2-3 years ago quite frankly

i will say though, speaking on the topic, if we ever lose resin (formerly dr underscore) then the broadcasting scene is fucked because hes the only programmer maintaining the plugins that allow producers to produce tf2 matches and for viewers to see damage numbers in a broadcast. he alone is the reason why the broadcast experience for tf2 has been elevated lol. very few programmers actually working on cool stuff behind the scenes and if we lose him welp its ggs cus idk who else is gonna maintain these plugins

#7 MGE.tf 1v1 World Championship: Playoffs in Events
joshuawnthrough a coordinated internal fundraising event with the staff members and friends of MGE.tf over the last year.

thank you all again for playing. i hope everyone had fun, because it was a blast as a viewer to see the crazy shit everyone hit. some real god tier gamers in this community. tf2's future looks bright.

neptune is the GOAT of tournament organization, hands down. his work ethic is truly admirable.

fireside casts did an exceptional job on production & the commentators were on-point especially when clutch moments happened.

thanks guys for paying everything out immediately, my casters were very happy outside of having to cast mge for 4 hours straight (but that's why they get paid)
