in HL we just played the bracket reset match a week later, any matches going super late were for other reasons (start delayed, excessive pausing, getting ringers, bo3 going the max length on every map, etc). Having played several bracket reset grands, I really enjoyed it and I think it works well online, but for a LAN it would never work.

I agree with the posters above that map advantage just sucks. If scheduling/length is the problem, run a bo3. If it's about giving upper bracket an advantage, just do map pick/bans. It's kind of awkward with the reduced map pool but it should be tried if another mini-season is ran.

I don't really know what to say other than that I'll truly miss him. I played or subbed on a few teams with Cam and he was always a reliable and kind teammate. He would apologize to us for being late to scrims or having reduced availability no matter how much we told him it was fine and that his health and real life came first. I was hoping for the best for him and I just feel so awful that I didn't stay more in contact with him. He really loved this game and I always enjoyed getting the chance to play with him. I hope he rests in peace and that his family knows how much he was appreciated

If the fear is about people not answering the end of season surveys or whatever, they should just have a single issue poll. Make a loch-n-load ban poll with no other questions, have it open for RGL users for a few weeks or a month in the offseason, and post an announcement in the discord/website and tftv. It's easy to do and will provide a very clear answer before the next season starts
