Dave_does the music player play flac/aiff/wav?

Probably not. It didn't during the beta.

#20 What to buy? in Hardware
zigzterI never understood the "don't buy the v2 just get headphones and a mic you'll save money" argument.
Amazon is listing the black v2 for $53.99.

So let's say a clip-on mic is $10 and you're supposed to be saving "like $40"... I'm very interested in seeing what kind of "quality" headphones you can find for $4.

I've had my Siberias for 4-5 years and they're still working fine despite the fact that I've rolled over the cable about 3000 times with my chair. Don't think I've had anyone ever complain about mic quality. (Except for when my sound card was being wonky)

Keyboard related: Can't comment on the Duckys but Filco makes really good keyboards. I have the tenkeyless Majestouch 2 with brown switches and absolutely love it. It's also built like a tank and doesn't have a bunch of extra pointless buttons or disco lights under the keys.

Gaming headsets are generally garbage sound quality. "Gaming" features add a lot of cost and they usually aren't worth the compromise in quality. It's worth it to spend $20+ to just get a decent pair of headphones. They work, but they aren't worth it unless you really care about looks or a built in mic.

For keyboards Filco is really good, too. Both Ducky and Filco make some pretty nice stuff.

If you have the money definitely get a 120+HZ monitor first. I wish I had.

#8 What to buy? in Hardware

Don't buy gaming headsets. Buy standalone headphones and a clip-on mic or something. Ducky Shine keyboards are pretty sweet, but it depends on how much money you are willing to dish out. It's probably better to get a good monitor/mouse/GPU, etc (depending on what you have already and the quality of it all) before you go with the keyboard.

#11 Attacks feel delayed? in Customization
etherI don't get it, is 0.5 supposed to be better or what. Because 0.1 is default and that is normal.

#79 ESEA Invite: eLevate TF2 vs. froyotech in Events
MemphisVonI think there are a few things.
1. A guy who is "pretty shit" calling out a multiple time lan champion is laughable. (I said pretty shit in quotes because I don't even know you/if you're shit)

So I think most people understand that if they were good enough to play in Invite then they'd probably play in Invite, that doesn't mean you can't critisize or speculate the skill of invite players.

They're all good, but some players in relation to other players are "bad." Obviously they're still good at the game but then it is hard to find a word that seperates the top and bottom of Invite if you can't call out some players for being "bad" in the context of the league they are in.

Basically what Thorin says about CS:GO players here

#123 Who is leaving? in TF2 General Discussion
TwitchThe real reason CoD is bad is because the competitive CoD scene plays on Xbox which is limited to 30fps and uses controllers and auto-aim. Please understand this is like trying to hold a triathlon where all the athletes have to ride BigWheels and wear floaties while swimming.

CoD actually runs at 60FPS. They tend to cut the resolution/graphics more than other developers to keep the game running at 60FPS.

CoD still isn't a very good competetive game.

#829 Do you like the song above? in Music, Movies, TV
Vortexedit: responded to the wrong one, the above song was alright. i liked some parts but the vocals are a bit too generic-y for me

Not really a fan, especially the beginning. I pressed play and I was really bothered by the stuttering.

#27 Anybody like heavy music? in Off Topic

Some of my favorite music is technically metalcore. but I've gotten really picky. I tend to stay away from clean vocals, synths, and stuff like that.

Misery Signals - A Certain Death
August Burns Red - Beauty in Tragedy

Or for not-really-metalcore (progressive metal) I love Between the Buried and Me

Between the Buried and Me - Silent Flight Parliament

I'd love to find more death metal like this but I tend to get bored with death metal

The Faceless - Planetary Duality II: A Prophecies Fruition

#7 Update 7/8/14 in TF2 General Discussion
Radman"Minigun: Winding up via secondary attack now counts toward reducing the one-second accuracy penalty"

So basically, stay spun up in the same spot, and the nerf wont affect you.

~engaging gameplay~

The way it is worded implies your damage is still affected.

#719 MAJOR TF2 update for 6/18/14 (6/19/14, Love & War) in TF2 General Discussion

So I was expecting this to be awful just like everyone else as a demo main. Surprisingly, I've been having A LOT of fun. Pipes, while unreliable, are fun as hell, and it feels nice to not be focused all the time. Also, using more traps is pretty fun.

I didn't think Valve nerfing my class would make me enjoy it more, but it did. I am probably an outlier though.

#845 yahud in Customization
DeetrHere's an update for the latest update to fix the broken taunt selection screen. If whayay has an issue with me putting this up I will happily take the download down. This doesn't have the full HUD, it is meant for people who already have the HUD installed and just want to update it.

Currently doesn't have the parachute icon, I will add it tomorrow after I get some sleep.

Link

Thanks for this. Works in yahud-mx. Here's what it looks like in case anyone is interested.

#34 ESEA-O Finals: Arizona Iced Out Boys vs. Goldman Sachs in Events
WithADanceNumbermy faith in eXtv was restored with this seasons coverage. thanks guys

I liked the coverage this season. It was pretty good, in my opinion. I just wonder why they went back on eXtine's stance from this video.
