RGL Ban Wave

wolsnetrippaeven if the admins can ban whoever they want because its their league, those types of actions reflect negatively on the league itself as it goes against fairness and professionalism

do you guys really want the only league in NA to make itself look like a joke just because you don't like some people, i would rather have RGL do as well as possible
what is worse for RGL, banning a few bad eggs who put a terrible foot forward in the name of the league, or losing people season after season because they decide they don't want to be affiliated with a community that tolerates liberal & open usage of slurs? And what is the incentive for RGL to put a good foot forward anyway, so we can 'esports now'? With the exception of a few, no one is raising much issue with the people who have been banned (except their friends in the same circle jerk).

And to top it all off, the appeals process is clearly functional as a bunch of players have already made their case and had their bans lifted. If the claim is that "one particular admin doesn't like me", then you can just appeal it directly to daffodil/exa/sigafoo/whoever else does appeal cases.

the appeals were "hey i dont know what i did wrong but i will be nice"
you have no idea what you are talking about
people like phoxx and kuhnockers really are just some of the bad eggs that are corrupting the tf2 community and they deserve to be banned for posting jesus dabbing on tftv

wolsneThe main issue with anyone that associates with the gxq group is that the worst offenders are known for alting and when people have 15 twitchtv alts spamming "tranny brains under my cleats", gxq revolution, and previous steam aliases such as "n*****hunter78", who do you ban unless they self identify?

"no officer, I didn't steal anything, I was just the driver in the getaway vehicle" - accessory to robbery

Hiding behind anonymity is only possible on ulterior platforms where admins to leagues and forums don't have access to ip records/login patterns to compare accounts. phoxx and kuhnockers got caught up in it because they're known affiliates of that group I'd imagine. You're downplaying my entire post and summing it up to 2 individuals who got unbanned the day they were banned without addressing anything else.

how do you know who the main main offenders are but you don't know who to ban
phox actually is still banned
all i said is you dont know what you're talking about and it's pretty evident

my point is that people who did nothing got banned and appealed to satisfy rgl's power trip
there were people who did deserve to get banned but the issue arises when you start banning by association

If they had clear evidence to our bans and we sent in an appeal for literally anything and got unbanned, then what's the point of the ban? Explain this

What is the problem with a system that posted the reasons why people got banned, has a working system for appealing your ban, and has an active moderation staff? That 21 people got banned and now we have 160 possible players and not 180? Not to mention that for fourteen of those people their ban is appealable indefinitely , and two bans have already been repealed. I think it's better that people who do break the rules get banned, unlike in ESEA where slur usage even in invite wasn't rare. I can't speak on the VAC ban stuff since I know none of the details, but it seems kind of sensationalist to panic about admin abuse when they're literally doing what they're supposed to.

wolsneyou're just spouting "you don't know, you don't know", what do I not know?edinthere were people who did deserve to get bannedyou acknowledge that the blanket ban workededinthe appeals were "hey i dont know what i did wrong but i will be nice"you acknowledge that the appeals system works

It' would be great if someone in your position went to the admins and said "hey i know some people who should probably catch a ban and heres why" since you openly acknowledge that some of these people did deserve punishment.

i keep saying you don't know what you're talking about because you literally don't, for example phoxx is still banned
i acknowledged the fact that people who deserved to get banned did get banned, like people who cheated

however you fail to acknowledge the fact that there are people on there who got banned for no reason and they shouldn't have to put in an appeal in the "working" system in the first place, not to mention our appeals were literally
"hey unban me i did nothing wrong im going to be nice"
why should someone have to appeal something they didnt do

also only two of the people on the list of people were ones that deserved to get banned + were my friends, but i didn't report them because they literally don't play tf2 anyway and don't care if they get banned from it

"I didn't report people I agree should have been banned because they're my friends and they aren't playing right now"

Think of it like this, if there was a gunman at an airport it would be best for everyone there to be detained and those innocent can be released later. That's an over exaggerated comparison, but the logic is the same. We can start shitting on RGL if people who really did do nothing wrong stay banned for long periods of time

what if there was a gunman at an airport except there was actually never a gunman at the airport
i sincerely apologize for not wanting to waste time making useless reports about people who were not going to play in the league anyways

in the first post you say that there were people that deserved to get banned, in this situation they would be the gunmen. You and Phoxx would be examples of innocents caught up in the detainment.
