2v2 ultiduo is more fun than 1v1 mge because it requires team work instead of just being an MGE lord.

Everyone plays to win mge. Such a stupid moving line of what is gay and isnt gay that varies from person to person. Everyone is trying to win mge, no one has ever played vs someone and played to lose.

If you use your s key more than your w key in mge i think it's safe to say you are playing pretty gay.

Ah yes, the secret standard 51% S key homosexuality threshold. I forgot about that at the mge alliance. Idk, i don't get it. I play mge how i want to play if they start shotgun denying me its fine, I'll do it back to them. If someone wants to counter jump me cool, i'll shotgun deny them. But I don't cry about someone playing gay anymore just bc they're doing something to beat me

But is it just that? I know a bunch of people that only played mge and never 6v6 because they didn't like the stalematey comparatively slow paced speed of 6v6 so to them the best part of tf2 is MGE. Even dolphin rider though he played a few seasons always preferred mge. So when that's your viewpoint then you want to get good at mge and its not just a training mod it's the game. It's all a mater of perspective.

mge cups arent organised because no one can be arsed with each other's playstyles. if they already sweat on pub mge imagine what they'd be like in an actual "tournament". it'd just be boring and unfun for all parties except those who gain some sort of ego validation from winning. just play mge to get good rockets, playing mge to win is the complete opposite of what the gamemode was intended for. this could all potentially be blamed on the elo system though since that makes people's brains deteriorate (im one of those people!). as someone who's had an mge round last an hour i have to say, its probably best mge tournaments dont happen when public mge is already a cesspit of unwashed incels who get off on gaining points off someone.

yao I've been slacking on organizing the meeting I'm about to mention, but that gives more time for gathering people interested.

What about a big MGE tournament at DreamHack Anaheim 2020??? Feb 21-23 I think.

I like the concept of pressing the boundaries of what is considered tournament worthy.

Sure, there are a number of players who take losing very personally. This mindset is reflected in their gameplay (51% S or whatever you want to call it), and can possibly tarnish the experience for other players. However, this occurs in any gamemode regardless of the arena (stalemates, offclassing, etc)..

But just because the concept might be foreign for some, we shouldn’t consider it wrong. It’s all up to personal preference. Some people prefer deathmatch style gameplay, while others prefer more controlled environments with an objective. If you don’t like it, don’t play.

the difference is dolphin rider can win without trying to win because he has improved his mechanics through playing mge to improve his mechanics, pub mge players play to win to be better at winning mge not to be better at aiming or moving

the amout of people who think MGE is for winning and growing an ego is astonishingly disgusting, and autistic systems like ELO enforce such a fucking stupid idea

This dude hemp played very dirty, yesterday he was waiting for the end of time to not lose when the menkab brought proofs to admins they ignored proofs, if a person without aim can win a cup, then this is a gay cup. Jumping with a fucking shotgun – 2ez. Yesterday you avoided a well-deserved defeat as a rat. Menkab deserved this victory.

i got shotgun denied on spire in a charity mge tournament on tip of the hats a few years back and im like 99% sure there was no prize so i can only imagine how aids it would be if there was something to actually win

scout v scout is probly ok (idk i rarely play that matchup so not sure how much of a degen you can be) and 2v2 could potentially be cool depending on the map.

I could do a 8 minute timer every game (could be shorter). I obv can’t set a lot of rules around the whole “playing like a virgin” but I’ll cook up some ideas to make the 1v1 style less aids like map bans and such.
